guys,
my flight is booked and I have 2 days to spend by my lonesome in BKK. I want to spend it in the Suk area (no surprise, eh?)
I was comparing the costs of Everrich, City Lodge Soi 9 and RTB's place (Town Lodge).
Can anyone give me an idea of which would be the best place to stay? I know all 3 are GF and all have room safes, so I guess I would have to wonder which has the best rooms.
Also, I read that Everrich & City Lodge can be noisy due to proximity of the street. Is it that bad? The only problem I have with Town Lodge I guess is the distance. 10 minutes walk to Suk, is it?

haraplang,, 2 days alone,,, get your priorities in order, the room not really that important,, access to gals and a good time should be your number 1 priority.
I'd go with Town lodge,, the standard rooms are not 5 star but you have access to a friendly bar down-stairs with RTB managing and several nice and available ladies
Don't worry about the 10 minutes walk to Sukumvit,,, 97% of the time, the free tuuk tuuk is there to whisk you down,, then it's just up and over the road and a very short walk to Soi Cowboy.

I always consider staying closer to Nana as more of a point of interest. Seeing as you have 2 days, I might lean toward staying nearer to nana. Everich puts you closer to nana but still easy walking distance to Cowboy. I always like to be able to go to a wider amount of places that are within walking distance of hotel for you and lady. I am still searching for the perfect place in the area myself. I just know I want to be in single digit soi area perferably, but there is nothing wrong with the suggestion above either. Book the room with the window if you do everich, other places avail.

Not sure if the Ever Rich Inn has a room safe, they have boxes at reception. They are the best located. Beer garden right around the corner, eden a block up, NANA 2 block down, and my favorite street bar/restaurant right out the door after 1am. Granted, soi Cowboy is a little walk, but no worse than the walk up soi 18 to the street, or back for that matter.

I believe the everich had a safe in it. If you don't care about a window, they'll barter those rooms down easily. Town lodge nearby also. Koolbreeze is right, You can stumble away from the street bars in front and be at your room. No need to take moto or take long walk. Plenty of streetwalkers in area also.

If you do go for City Lodge soi 9 the best way to avoid noise is to get a room at the back of the hotel. I've not stayed at the other hotels mentioned so I've nothing against them and they may well be good options. The main advantages of City Lodge are that Nana Station is right outside the hotel and Eden is just around the corner. Nana Plaza and the Beer Garden are not so close but easily walkable and myriad other bars are in easy reach. The main negative is that in my view it has risen a little steeply in price over the last few years, coming out at over 2000 baht a night for a
double room on most web sites (although I understand there is a decent local offer for weekends going). To be honest I think there is better value out there, but it has the basic facilities (acceptable levels of cleanliness, helpful staff, etc), convenience and girl friendliness going for it. Whichever hotel you opt for you should have a good time in that area barring disasters.

Everinn has I in room safe. Large enough for a laptop and other things. I also prefer Everinn because they have 24h security and a guy is taking the id of the girl for my protection. And they have a very quiet AC.
