"Here, Here" on that one.......
the experience is way more rewarding (to me at least) than busting a nut in a short time hotel...although there is nothing wrong in that....
The bro's I told about my adventure, both said good for you but they prefer variety....you guys know who you are...... and aint nothing in the world wrong with that train of thought at all 
I just have found that a week with a cute and cool chick makes my vacations better....
BTW, this last trip was solo, but on previous trips mrs atl seems to operate by the notion of "ask me no questions, and I will tell you no lies!"
meaning, as long as I am not an idiot and leave a condom or something stupid, like underwear that aint hers, in my bag or room she doesnt ask me anything.....
and for sure, never go somewhere that a friend of hers might work........

To comment on the importance of "coolness" of P4P girls - it really made my first experience crossing to the dark side of BKK.
My first ever P4P experience was in one of the beergardens along Sukhumvit - presumably Soi 7. I'd been banging an expat girl but got tired of that and wanted to try the local flavours. Summoning up the courage (I was a relatively shy 23yr old) I strolled through the quadrangle of bars, and a quite cute twenty-something girl jumped out at me and tried to drag me inside...I didn't have the balls to do it, as I sensed several pairs of farang eyes on me...so I made my excuses and left.
The following night, after some more mediocre sex with my European bed friend I decided I'd go for a beer and see what it was all about...I navigated my way there again, getting lost a couple of times and almost being hauled into some dark & salubrious looking places along the main soi before rediscovering the beer garden (I'm always amazed how different they look by day compared to night). Anyway, walking through the little maze of bars my friend from last night spotted me and came running out of "her" bar and literally jumped into my arms, clinging to my neck and peppering my cheek with kisses. Ok, so far so good methinks. I forget her name, Em or something, but she was 5'4", very petite, smooth caramel skin, b cups and with an infectious smile.
A German guy was at that particular bar and waved his encouragement for me to join him - I sat with my new companion and the German guy and his girl and knocked back some beers, games of pool, connect 4, some soccer on ESPN. It was all shaping out to be my kind of night - and the German guy told me the score about the prices/barfines (in Deutsche so the girls couldn't understand). Anyway, reflecting on the experience, it was such a lot of fun, compared to other times I've dabbled in the Bangkok nightlife scene...when this girl smiled, it made me do the same - she was a great shot at pool (obviously) and unbeatable at connect 4 (hardly surprising), but didn't insist on expensive drinks - she wanted what I wanted, and drank 2 or 3 beers at 60 baht each.
When it came to closing time she asked me would I like to take her with me and of course I said yes...we went to the short stay place on Soi 7/1 (I think - anyway I couldn't take her home as I was crashing at my Dad's condo at that stage) and after explaining to her this was my first time etc. She told me to shower, which I did, then her turn, then she came out, opened her towel and wrapped both of us inside and began our session with a sweet kiss. I felt like a teenager again. A great session FS session - very passionate sex - I think she got a kick out of being my "first" in the LOS. I stayed for 2 hours, and she asked for 1,000 which I happily handed over.
She gave me her email address but I chose not to write to her - maybe a good decision - however I'm happy to admit I was "parachuted" into my first foray in the LOS! Now an older & wiser 25yr old I am returning in May for my first proper tour of duty...I have a suite at the Admiral Premier (400m from SC) booked and 7 nights of freedom. Watch out Big Mango!

Nice story of a first time experience in BKK, Synaesthesia. It captures why LOS is so darn addictive.
But I am at a loss as to where you were. The only "quadrangle" or "maze" of bars I can think of on Sukumvit is the old Clinton Plaza, but that was long before your time. Or the open BB place opposite, even side of the street, that got torn down one night because of some kind of political turf battle gone wrong. Too bad, as I liked both places.
(Walked into the latter one night, said hi to a girl, who instantly asked me if I wanted to go with her to a party at a friend's place. She was really cute. But I was too green at the time, thinking there was some dangerous angle to her question, so I said no, "I don't know you," I added. Funny, I have to laugh at myself in retrospect. As that kind of thing happens all the time in LOS, no ulterior motive, at least not a bad one. Just hard to understand at first, coming from the normal world.)
Anyhow, appreciate your story. Have fun in May.

Yes Daffy, it wouldn't surprise me at all...but at this point in time I'm unsure I'd remember her - you never know - but it's been almost 3 years, and so much has happened in between. We'll see...
But that brings me to my next point - Quim mentioned he couldn't place the beer bar complex I mentioned, and my memory isn't the best. It was definitely there in January 2008. I remember going to an after hours club with some friends...we'd been at Cheap Charlie, so I imagine this "secret disco" they referred to it as was on Soi 11.
That being the case, I remember walking towards Sukhumvit from there, don't know which way I went but it took to the beer bar place. Anyway, it's probably within 1km either side of 11. I'll check when I get back (May 27 onwards) & post accordingly...hell I might even find a honey from there to carry back to my hotel suite a la tarzan just to prove it exists!
