quim, when I said choice, I only referred to your decision to live in thailand. that's it. I didn't mean every choice you've made in your life.
f'ing eh, I just genuinely found some of discussions interesting. I hate drama.
unfortunately there are obvious differences between style of diction between this forum and every other forum I have participated in. i'm not here to fight. I'm here to learn and read about what I can not elsewhere. I am going to bkk in jan 2010. I plan on as much cultural immersion as my language barrier would allow me. I plan on having lot of sex with beautiful asian girls for a rate much cheaper than the ones I am accustomed to in the states.
and fyi, I don't troll el cajon blvd or any other open streets. but what's wrong with street hookers anyway? same logic applies here. if you ask the right group of people, they'll also tell you that these girls are "special" and they will mean it in positive way. and if you call these girls hookers, you may make such group of people very angry as well.

I guess the question has to be asked stickman, how are you going to slip away from the wife for your f***fest? Is she to accompany you on the trip while you sneak away to sample the local delights, or are you to leave her at home while you reluctantly go on that overseas 'business' trip

straygypsy, I suspect that there are lots of married men on this forum. Some only find a way to get to Thailand or rare occassion and live vicariously through this and other forums the rest of the time and others have circumstances that get them here frequently. I think most of the guys I have met in Thailand have been married but I haven't take a poll. It doesn't mean anything except you want something different than what you normally have.

Well, I'm not married - and happily so! 
I do agree with your final conclusion -- it's all a matter of wanting something of a different flavor once in a while. If more western women realized this, instead of treating their husband as a dog treats a hydrant (i.e. as a piece of property), then more marriages would last longer (by the way, the same applies also the other way around, guys...)

DD, I understand your point but for me, its not that I'm not treated well at home. I have a great wife and a great life and I really couldn't ask for anything from her that isn't already part of our life. The fact is, I have a desire that she by definition just can't fulfill. That is that I want to have sex with different women. I just want the variety. I don't want out of my marriage. I guess I just want my cake and to eat it too and as long as I can I will. But truthfully, I would not give up my marriage for Thailand. But I hope I don't have to make that choice real soon.

Which is, I believe, exactly what I said prebiously -- not quite sure where you got that I implied you weren't treated well at home (if so, I apologize, that was not intended).
My point is simply that if more women understood that they can not be everything to 'their' man, and allowed a certain amount of leeway, then everyone would be happier, all things considered.
Far too many US women that I know, to whom the quality of their relationship doesn't matter, and who will threaten death and destruction if 'their' man 'cheats' on them, even once - and they mean it. They just set themselves, and their relationship, up for failure, that way.

Pretty easy really give her money to go shopping for a start.
I have a nice arrangement with my brother-in law I pay everything and what goes on tour stays on tour. I even take him to pattaya so I can go out at night. I dont do long time and I dont sit in bars with tg drapped on me, otherwise anything is possible.
Its only sex,good for the marriage and totally normal in se asia for a man to do. I dont consider sex with a prostitute as cheating, more a hobby im not giving up because im married.

Ah, the double-edged sword of the internet: for all the opportunity it affords us to share our opinions, and see how the other guy thinks, it also enables guys, who otherwise couldn't find their asses with both hands, to make their way to Thailand, and never have to pay any dues at all. No exorbitant taxi fares ("How much should I pay from the airport?" ), easy access to one's preferred activity ("Best soapy? Blowjob bar?" ), etc.
