Hello again guys,
As some of you are aware, i'm hoping to return to los in november time for 7-8 weeks or so. Last trip was in 2004.
Just wanna get an idea of how the bg prices are nowadays.
Looking to travel all over, execpt the north, Bkk, Pattaya, Phuket, KohSamui etc.
I'm aware prices vary from place to place, with the islands usually being cheaper than the city, Pattaya vs Bkk for example.
It's been 4 years for me, so I wana know what I can expect to pay.
Q1. Are barfines still roughly between 500-1000?
Q2. ST/LT prices what are they roughly between place to place
2000st/3000lt?? 1500st/2000lt??
If you guys could kindly keep examples as per the areas you were in, would be helpful.
I also understand that each person may pay slighty different prices based on a number of factors. I'm a 26 year old guy looking to have sum fun.
Just trying to get a very general idea, so I can work out my cash now, before I come over.

Welcome back after a long absence.
Just got back and did LT 14 times and paid everyone 2000 baht. Pattaya beer bar fines can be 200 to 300 with go go show girls BF up to 1500--not worth it. Of course Freelancers no BF and if I like them I will still give them 2000baht.
I never discuessed money with any of the ladies--I just slip it under there purse or clothes in the morning.

bootydaddy, this is a good topic, perhaps it should not be restricted to BGs only, it should be more like ST prices, whether or not you get them from the bars, massage parlors or from the street.

I was in Rainbow I (NEP) a couple of weeks ago, and the staff had a standard menu prepared with the ST and LT pricing, together with the bar fine and short time room price as well. If my memory serves me, it was 2,000 B ST and 4,000 B LT.

BK, 4000baht....f*** 'n 'a...you could jump in a taxi to pattaya and get a hottie, hotel room, a couple drinks and cab fare for that  she must be smokin' hot!!!!
Quack, I agree...when I lived over there, as I am sure several guys can do, if I "clicked" with a chick I could get away with barfine + a nice tip the next morning.....granted it was usually towards the end of the night though.....
back to what BK said.....4000baht.
I am sure that is for an absolute stunner...which I tend to not really go for as the experience doesnt tend be very good...IMHO.....I much more prefer a 7 or 8 that is cool/laid back and I get along well with...again thats just how I like to roll..to each their own..
that was a very cool thing about living in a small beach town in Phuket, like Nai Harn....every bar chick knew you (I have a feeling some bro's are like that in Bangkok lol)....
cute ones would go with you for 1000 baht LT and you would drive her home the next morning and then see her and her friends on the beach 3 hours later....like nothing ever happened....

Immigration laws have changed and are enforced more rigorously since your last visit in 2004. Are you getting a 60 day tourist visa in advance at a Thai embassy or consulate in your home country?
A visa upon arrival (called Thailand Entry Permit) is only good for 30 days. You must have a ticket out of Thailand within 30 days in order to enter with a Thailand Entry Permit.
Of course, you can always leave Thailand for a day and return to get a new 30 day Thailand Entry Permit. Or you can get a 30 day extension once you get into Thailand (not sure how much of a hassle this is). But in both cases you may have to change flights since you need to show immigration that you have a return flight within 30 days in order to enter with 30 day Thailand Entry Permit.
If you overstay your 30 day Thailand Entry Permit you are looking at 500 Baht per day fee (for each day beyond 30 days) when you are caught at the immigration departure point. If you get caught by the police anywhere else before departure, you could be facing a lot more trouble.

Here are some ST prices that I have been offered this year:
Beer Garden
1,000 - 1,500 B (freelancers)
Morning 2 Night
1,500 B (+ 500 B bar fine; 300B for room upstairs)
Soi 33 bars
2,000 - 3,000 B (+ 600 B ~ 1,200 B bar fine)
CM2
3,000 - 5,000 B (freelancers)
Bamboo Bar & Grace Hotel carpark
800 - 2,000 B (freelancers)
Angel Witch show girl
3,000 B (+ 600B bar fine; 300 B for room upstairs)
Rainbow 4
2,000 B (+ 600 B bar fine; 300 B for room upstairs)
Outside Robinson (between soi 17 & soi 19)
1,000 B (freelancers)
Behind Siam Hotel
1,500 B (freelancers; 300 B for ST hotel room)
If you like you can also get a massage at the Oil Massage parlors, pay 400 B for a 1 hour session (or 800 B for 2 hrs), and you can get your ST for 1,500 B. Sometimes, the girls may ask for 2,000 - 2,500 B for 2 rounds.
And of course, there is Eden Club, where you can get 2 girls for 3,600 B for 90 full minutes, as many times you can muster, all with room and condoms included.
A little note, if you are going to bargain a girl down to 1,500 B, for heaven's sake, make sure you have exact change, the girl is not going to give you back change for 2,000 B, as one friend of mine found out.
