The cheap imatation Rolex, Omegas ect can
be purchased for 300Bht from Oiy
I call him Lumpy. The watch salesman that operates
at the entrance to Nana Plaza.
When you buy one, do not go out in the rain with it.
Or if you take it off make sure that their isn't a strong
wind as it will take off as they are that light
Also if they last 6 months you've done well

there is a watch shop in MBK ground floor opposite the KFC. they do sell high quality copies all with ETA automatic works and very well done finishings.
the prices are on the high side and do reflect the quality. for example a patek for about thb 8,000 and rolex submariner for about thb 6,000. but with these the difference is very hard to tell as they nearly have the same finishing and weight like the originals!

i also bought a fake rolex near suk soi 7 about a year ago for 800B, she say she give me good price cause 1st customer of the day, she 1st asked for 1500B. when i came back home i compare to a buddy of mines & i must say it is hard to tell the difference other then little thicker than the real thing & if you look real close the finish on the band is not as sharp. a year now no rust & i'm surrounded by a ocean, still ticking great...am i lucky ?

thailover, if you are going to buy a high quality fake rolex you need to ask for the ones with real sapphire glass. If you ask for "grade A" at the small shops at WTC they can sort you out. Expect to pay 3500 for basic models up to 15000 for real gold plated. I have had a "grade A" for more than 6 years and it has never given me problems. Make sure you go through ever number in the "date" to check for flaws. This is the most common area to find a flaw. I have bought many of these over the years as gifts. It is important you buy it early on your trip and explain the shop owner that you will bring it back if it stops working (the shops at WTC accept this). I have brought back 2 I bought for gifts but checked out for a few days first and never had a problem getting a replacement.

I got mine for 4000 because it is just stainless steel - no gold. It is one of the best I have ever seen. Rolex store in BKK offered to buy it from me about 6 months after I got it because the sapphire glass was so nice they wanted to send it to Rolex. Now it is very common to have this glass. Compare prices at different places in WTC and look only at "grade A" fakes, you will find a deal you can live with.

Has anyone come across a good Panerai knockoff, preferably black. Also an ultra-stylish range of watches called Ikepod designed by famous designer Marc Newson. They normally cost about S$8000 but a friend of mine got his in Shenzhen China. Fooled me completely.

Friends and I have bought a total of 4 Rolex knockoffs and they are all working (all over 6 mos to 2 years) very good quality and when compared to the real thing I can't tell the difference. Got them at Buddy watch shop in the MBK center.....2nd floor price was about $60 US...I would recommend this place and you can find them if you have a problem.
