I did not say that anybody would be interested in this exchange of words and accusations, I merely pointed out that you are assuming a lot.
I for one find these threads unbelievably boring. So why do I post on the thread? Good question, but I will leave it up to others to figure that out.

as Bandit says,i must be getting old and losing my memory.
i do not remember changing my profile details,i have no reason to and why should i?.
i rarely look at my profile,i have no need to,after all i know all the infomation that is in there.
well i have to believe BK when he says that his settings have caused this,even though i have not changed my profile.
i just find it strange and sad,it is a great loss not to see my avatar whenever a post of mine appears...... 
but if you take away the labels and i am no longer 'Skylab' and just a non entity,then maybe i will feel better.
but i doubt it,i like members choice of label and avatar.
i think it brings a bit of individuality to the forum.

I may keep that on, so long as I don't see anymore posts asking, how to get the next pip and so on, as it would indicate that people want to post for the sake of increasing the pips, in which case we get more noise, rather than actual information.

What I have noticed here (in my opinion though) is that the more dots you have, the more respect you get.
I do agree with what BK said about people looking at the pips the wrong way. Some people think that a member who is classified as a newbie is a newbie to LOS. Well, when I joined, I wasn't a newbie because I visited LOS twice before. It's just that I never knew this forum existed until then. Newbies on here can be expats who have lived their lives in LOS for many years and has just discovered this forum.
One thing I will miss is my 4 dots. I worked so hard for that (BK will hate me for saying this!)! 
Guys, this is just my opinion, so don't flame me on this one! I am burned to a crisp by many of you!
