Am not sure why people think being in thailand is any worse than being at home regarding this. If you're worried about STDs and you dont like to take risks, either don't do it or do it covered. If you have a higher tolerance of risk, then you necessarily take more risks.
It's pretty simple isnt it. Everyone knows what the risks are. You either choose to accept them or not - it's a trade off and it's part of being an adult.
Doesnt matter if you're in bkk, london, singapore, NY or wherever.
The only time I ever caught anything was from a fellow student when I was at college. Never had any issues from P4P.

Not the wisest advice. Remember forinstance a girl who has screwed 500 punters over 6 years, and 1 in 20 managed to have unprotected sex with her, and they in turn total f_cks numbered roughly the same. Never thought I would defend eden. But of recent I have taken to this place. (dont blame me) Actually I am sceptical that that is how he got it. Never went anywhere else? There is a chance he "did" in fact get this from Eden Club. You can never rule anything out 100%. Especially when it is uncovered.

Thanks. That's exactly it -- I am assessing my risks. From what I have heard so far, it seems the risks when you are covered are pretty acceptable. However, I think I may stick to BJs for now and take it from there. And covered of course.

And what 'risk' are you talking about? HIV? What about Hepatitis? Resistant NSU's, Chlamydia in the throat, and finally deadcourse number 1 in Thailand: TB. With a high rate among sexworkers.
The 25% is about those story's "I know someone.. he has never..." My 25% is not a average of Eden customers. But I am curious. How often are the tests positive? And what about the girls who are tested positive? I don't think they're willing to tell it around (and loose their job). So what's the point of testing? (You can see the testresults? I never intended it to be a statistic approach merely a data point that rarely gets mentioned in the safe sex PC matra..
The statistic I quoted was what the Doctor told him.. Approx 0.002% chance of female to male transfer for non violent vaginal sex. He also stated this has a much higher female to male transfer rate in sub saharan africa (as much as 30 - 40%) and they dont know why.

DG, I never once advocated unprotected sex. I said that intelligent people know the risks - both in LOS and in their home countries. My point is that once you know the risks, you then assess what they mean to you as an individual.
I see no difference in the philosophical driver behind that argument whether the girl is 500 partner hooker in LOS, or a 2 guy girl in old London town. It takes just one chance to get f_cked over with a disease.
The situation is simple. We're all adults. We all know the odds. We are then free to take whatever action we decide.
personally, my view is that anyone who doesnt cover up when f_cking in Thailand is asking for trouble. But i'd say the same in any country, whether it's P4P or not. But - from my point of view - covering up for bj's is going too far. That's just me - that's my risk profile - and that's how I live.
