Myself I'm not up on the latest medicines - thank the Gods, the Trojans, and ID Lube for that... but I do know that the government subsidizes an anti HIV cocktail under the 30 Baht medical program. And even for people who don't qualify for that... I think it's not even 2,000 Baht a month if you had to buy them from a hospital pharmacy... it's not the same prices as in a western medical setup. Not to mention that the gov't appears not to have any hesitation in breaking patents of other AIDS drugs. No idea what the quality comparison is like of course. Cost is likely not a huge issue for these girls, especially if they are somehow still finding ways to "work."
My main wonder is... are the antibodies permanently in the blood and detectable in the common test (whatever that is) when say we go to our local hospitals to get it done. Myself, I test about once a year when I do my annual physical. I just casually throw in "add an anti-HIV antibody check to my cholesterol, etc. checks."

I am not an ID specialist, However to the best of my knowledge. Once one is infected HIV virus, they will always have positive Anti-IGM test. If you want to make sure, one can always do PCR or VC to confirm the result. With the HAART therapy and other new cocktail. Now we can achieve an undetectable viral load, however do not mistaken undetectable viral load with cure as it is only an remission of the disease.
While all these successful treatment result are great, there are multiple report coming out suggesting there are emergence of muliti drug resistant strain which is very worrysome to the medical establishment.

Shoke, I think PR probably is missing the 599GTB rather than the 612 as the scaglietti is just so ungainly.

Thanks for the discussion guys... with particular thanks to the old school guys like Smegma, Shoke, and Juniper for showing up.
And it's really not as much the cost guilt of it all, as I think most of us here might have that slightly nagging micro doubt about all those tiny percentages adding up and catching up with us one day. Sure, it's fun when we're young and single, but surely some of us are married, are starting families, etc.
