was real early for a flight so I went over there, I asked for the two hour oil massage, The price was exorbitant, 70US$, and the girl was definately one for the thread on "big massage girls", However she gave an excellent massage and brought me off twice by hand. I gave her 500 baht tip and she seemed fine with tat, this was july 26th 2002.

The Amari Airport Hotel is not a very friendly place. I sometimes meet friends there rather than at the Airport, when they fly in, and the assistant manager (a swishy Swiss guy) spends his time running off anyone sitting in the lounge who isn't conspicuously drinking. He especially loves to run off young Thai women. He tried to run ME off once but I stood (or sat) my ground, and asked for his business card. That earned him a nasty-gram to his boss, from the Thai Senator whose law firm I was affiliated with. A thoroughly snotty little bitch he was, just the sort for whom the epithet Eurotrash was invented.
I found out later he'd only been around a few months.

Amari Airport Hotel Update
After being away for a year, last week I went through BKK and again stayed at the Amari Airport Hotel. After checking in, I went up to the After Flight Massage Center to check out the action.
The Massage Center has been redecorated and expanded so the waiting areas is much larger and nicer than one year ago.
I met with the Center manager and asked about the girls. Prices are still the same: $95 US for 90 minutes with the girls of your choice in your room or in a private room there at the Massage Center. You can also get a $45 US straight massage (no sex) from a 45-year old lady if that is your choice. As I had other plans for the night, I did not use their services but in the past I have found them satisfactory although expensive.

Hmmm.. So sounds like using the Amari girls or arranging with an outside outcall massage/escort place like Queens Massage is comparable in terms of costs and service. ĘDo the girls at Amari seem accomodating in terms of BBBJ, etc?

This topic needs updating because the "near airport" question comes up regularly and the situation has changed because Afterflight has been hit by fallout from the Sia Wit scandal.
For many years Afterflight has been providing Don Muang transit customers with 4 basic services:
TTM $35/hr
Oil $40/hr
FS $95/90 min
FS (in your room) $95/90 min
*there is also sauna access at b250
Due to stepped up inspections by local police in the wake of the Chuwit problem, Afterflight has been forced to suspend the FS service until further notice unless you have a room at the hotel. The current rates for "short stay" rooms at the Amari are b800/3hrs (subject to availability).
As it now stands, Afterflight is not really an option unless you are staying at the hotel. The TTM/oil services have always been desultory, and outrageously overpriced... the FS service was useful (though also far too expensive) because you could do a quickie if you had 3-4 hours between flights, but until the heat dies down this is not available.
Operating hours remain the same, 9am to 2am.

As I said in the news thread on the Chuwit problem, nothing good will come of this. I see him every night on the news along with his MP's. This types of news coverage demands action from the government or they will look totally incompetent. I think this is just the start.
So bros in the last year they are cracking down on, opening hours, Internet access, On-line gamers, alcohol ads, and now massage. The good old days are amoung us now better pack your bags soon before further demise of the entertainment scene. Cambodia may be the next hot spot to rise and pick up the demand that will be stifled in Thailand

Went there many times. Expensive. 3700 baths for 90 minutes. I have a favorite girl there (I will not disclose her numbre...), she is probably the best girl I've met in LOS. Beautiful, calm, excellent service.

Place is not good value for money IMO, considering all the options available to you in BKK. If you really can't leave the airport area, try the barbers shop on the second level, Intl terminal. No, I'm not kidding. You can get massage with extras, price very negotiable but 1500bt for everything (including a haircut!) is possible.
