For whatever its worth, I spoke with (at great length) with a provider at a close proximity rival. She mentioned Baron's owners took a hefty percentage out of the providers base pay. He/she also refused the proper pay-channels with the police. The girls planned it for some time...they alerted the police and gave them the inside scoop. Looking for any excuse to recover the payment slight the police raided the place and closed it down. I went in today, saw the Lotus sign and opened the door to see the same gentlemen there that always greeted me previousely. Only having one provider available I thanked him and told him I'd come back another time...Barons is alive and kicking again but, its anybodies guess they'll be able to tread water enough to keep them from going completely under.

The girls tipped off the police????? Do you seriously think the police did not know what was going on there already? Barons has been around for a long time and is extremely well known and busy. Of course the police know about it and what goes on. The police dont care if the girls are being shortchanged as there is nothing in it for them.
The most likely explanation is that there has been some dispute over the tea money to be paid. Either the police wanted to up it or the owner wanted to drop it. Either way the owner has refused to play ball and the police have raided the place. This then gives them the authority to close the place legally.

Baron's is now reopened.
I received this morning an SMS from one of the Baron's girls announcing they have returned to active status.
From others posts, I assume it is reopened under the new name, "Lotus Massage".

Two days later I go there again and it is open. As previous posters stated it is called 'Lotus', now. The girls that I chose for TTM told me that they have had another raid and that she was very tired because she had spent all day at the police station to testify.
While her massage showed all signs of her tiredness she was still eager to offer me the usualy extras. I opted for a hj, only as I did not want to overpay for a lame massage. When we went down I gave her the 500 Bht tip, but she demanded 1000. I smiled at her and she understood that I was not that satisfied to pay twice as much as usual. Just before I went out of the door she asked me to pay additional 20 Baht for the water. First time I was asked for it, as normally the girls pay it out of their own pocket. It looks like I will avoid the place for awhile...
