Since there aren't any recent threads about this place, and I was (happily) waylaid there, I will offer the rare report.
Actually, I was headed for SoL a couple of days ago, when I decided to take a daytime poll of all the BJ bars I could remember.
First encounter was Rose Bar, where the owner, a woman about 50 y.o. or so, was sitting in front of the door. She claimed to remember me, but I hadn't been there for at least four years, so I chalked it up too the hard sell. Of course she had 'dek' inside, but anyway, I was too lazy to climb those stairs. In the past, with few exceptions, there were only a couple of geriatric loons, and maybe a cute younger one, who was eye-candy only. What used to be her downstairs BJ bar, and the cause of so much confusion (Star of Love), is now her clothing shop for the PP night market.
The mamasan was talking to another rather rotund woman, who tried to get me upstairs (daytime, even) to a bar just past Kangaroo. Nothing doing.
I wanted to see if Linda Bar, now known as Kob's Place, was still in business upstairs on the Patpong II side, and I wanted to avoid the assembled troops in front of SoL, at least until my mission was complete. So, I headed toward Suriwong, and up the back stairs, to avoid any hurt feelings.
I have to admit that I was having trouble remembering which bar it was, now that the name had changed, but a furtive "Pssst" from a half-open door brought it all back to me.
The "Pssst" came from a cute, if slightly worn, sweetie, with a see-through red blouse, and fabulously visible nips, so I let myself be dragged up the few steps into the bar.
This girl had serious energy, and I didn't even wait for the pitch - directly to the back room, closed the door, and before I could get my shoes off, she was totally naked!
In the dim light, I could ignore her slightly advanced age (who am I kidding?), and she was immaculate. Smelled good, tasted good, and was up to the task. Almost like take-out from SoL! No hurry, no restrictions. Probably could have had FS, but I came for (by) BJ, and was not disappointed.
At THB750, plus up-to-you, it is right in the comfort zone.
There were a couple of dragons, and a couple of rather cute compatriots there, as well. Given that this is primarily a night venue, I would guess that more would arrive later that evening. I kind of like walking in on all the denizens while they are in various states of sleep and undress. Call me Ishmael.
The back room was clean, similar to the old SoL room on a good day, and the whole experience was laid back and very pleasant.

Went there twice a few years back when it was called Linda's. Late at night. Most of the girls from StarofLove were there.
Drank tequila with one girl and we landed in the back room both of us drunk naked and almost incapable.
The 2nd time had another cutey who wasn't much of a performer but had a very nice bottom.

Btw hs, when you say former owner of Star of Love (much name confusion remembered fondly) do you mean the lady who speaks v good english as she was married to a Canuck some time back?
I recall the 'manageress' of SoLove from 3-4 yrs back who told me her rent was being upped astronomically and was struggling to stay in biz. If its her you mean, I popped her twice and her neice. She was a driven babe in the back room, very powerful and horny woman.

No, not a crone. Actually, she looked a lot like a girl who used to work at Rose, the one with the glasses, if that rings a bell. However, she claimed that she never did BJ, when I asked if she was the same one.
Her English IS quite good, so may be the one you refer to.
She used to split her time between the upstairs and downstairs places, and once caught me getting a 2 for 1 special downstairs. The girls had been watching TV, and decided that it would help move things along more quickly, if they both applied themselves - can't miss those Thai soaps...

She was married to a Canadian guy years back and lived there for some time. She had opened a restaurant I seem to recall but the marriage broke up and she returned to LoS. I dont know if 'bars' were her calling before she met Mr Falang Canuck.
She usually worked behind the bar, she was the manager/owner but if motivated (by money) was a trooper in the back room at the old Star of Love and worth the additional expense compared to the usual crew who worked there, one beautiful Isaan babe excepted.

So what's the new name of Linda/Kob? I wandered upstairs recently, there are about 5-6 bars up there, but all looked dead and I didn't get the "psst" that pointed haam sup in the right direction.
I wasn't about to wander into each one in turn and demand a BJ. Maybe I should've done...

Soon after Linda's opened up there I'd been in those couple times I mentioned and had conversations with the manager. She was a little over the hill I guess but not ugly at all and very nice. Used to have her number, but I can't even remember her name now perfectly. She was very concerned about getting customers up there and how to advertise on the internet. I seem to remember that somehow because of our long conversation and my flirtations I forgot (or they forgot to tell me?) to pay for a few lady drinks (tequilas) that first night. When I went back the second time (the next week) it was all sorted out very politely--I was impressed by that.
