Look guys, I rang the bell with friends last Thursday night on 33 in two places (cause it was dead and we wanted to liven it up). Didn't bat an eyelid - the bill was expected, you understand??
I understand. I think I misjudged when you said you were "pissed" when you saw the bill. That conjures up images of the ugly farang who totally overreacts when the staff take "liberties." It sounds like now you were a little bit pissed at yourself for not being on your guard.
I still wouldn't go so far as to say you were "ripped off", but I would have no problem characterizing it as being taken advantage of. I'm sure you and your friends meant to be offering the girls drinks from your bottle, although I doubt you stated it explicitly. They clearly manipulated the situation in their favor, although when you didn't object to the first few chits going into your cup they probably figured it was okay. It still doesn't feel good when they take advantage of someone who is obviously jai dee (I actually consider that a worse offense than when they screw over some obnoxious tightwad prick of a customer).
