I often say Thais can be as racist like every other nationality, thiers is just usually done with a smile.
It doesn't take that much scratching beneath the surface to see signs of it.

Fortunately I've never had this problem. I remember one time in Pattaya during the early afternoon, there were like a dozen chicks there on the clock and about 2 other dudes who were already w/ females. And when I walked in most of them just flocked around me. Of course in the long run $ talks and business is business, but I've never had a problem in any bar or club over there.

Many Thais are as racists like in any other nationality and you don't have to go to blacks or Indians : just speak to a fair skinned Thai about a dark skinned Thai from Isaan or other. Many will suggest that anyway they are more Laotian or Cambodian than Thai ! I don't even speak about Burmese people...
That's the same story in any country, only thing is Thais are maybe more tolerant so even if they don't like you, they leave you alone.
The news about the black gigolos is imo bullshit (sorry for those contemplating starting a new career !).
I don't see decent looking women paying for sex when most men are ready f_ck anything that looks more or less like a female after a couple of beers !

Anyone know where one can find farang gigolos? Someone sent me an email asking for some information, as she will be taking some Japanese friends to look for them. She mentioned that she heard there could be a club in Ratchada area, but does not know the name of the club.
I have heard of a ladies' club on Asoke Road, opposite the GMM building, but the guys are all Thai men only.
