I think I've tried most of the night clubs, discos, bars and other spots in Bangkok. Quite often, the surroundings are nice and the young women attractive. However, I've found that in virtually all the places, the music is way too loud. I have a hard time carrying on a conversation, so it's hard to talk with the girls and find out if they would be good partners for the night. Has anyone found a place where the music is soft, the girls attractive and interesting and the surroundings pleasant?

You sound like a Soi 33 guy. It's easy to talk in most of those places. Also, Check Inn 99 on the odd side of Suk in Nana. Pretty Filipina singers and hot classy girls. Or of course, the g-clubs: They're expensive, but seem to have the best talent. Chock Dee: wj

Never been, but there is a Check Inn 99 basically across the road (ok, not right across) from the Landmark Hotel - between soi 5 and soi 7.

Thanks IBF: Canyon, You can't miss it with the lucky midget in front. Music probably starts 8 or 9. The best hostess bar in this part of town IMO. There's usually, hot, late 20's, well dressed girls with good English. Owned by Danes who own Stable Lodge on Soi 8. Don't eat any thing here though. Ever. I mean ever ! wj
