Hi
Thing of visiting Koh Samui in a couple of weeks, read lots about the various beach bungalow accodation, wjould like to hear about some of the girl friendly ones.

In June, I was there for two weeks and stayed at the Evergreen Resort. Although it was inexpensive, it was clean and very convenient, being fairly central and just a few yards from Soi Green Mango where most of the nighlife is concentrated. It is set back a little from the busy main road, down a little soi, and there is another bungalow complex between it and the sea. There is a lovely beach restaurant there where you can have a good breakfast, lunch or dinner at reasonable cost. It was very girl friendly when I was there. Most of the day the reception is manned by a couple of young cuties and often they would chat to the girls I brought back. At night there is a security guard, but again no problem. He would take the girls ID until the morning. On my birthday, I took two girls back with me. Their website is http://www.evergreensamui.com
The way that I saw it, was that the accomodation was not luxurious, but nevetheless it was clean and quiet there and all the money I saved staying there, I could spend on more important things; like BGs. After all, 1300 baht a night in the peak season for an air conditioned bungalow is hard to beat for value, isn't it?

A hotel I say in when in Chaweng is Family Bungalow (www.familybungalow.com) The accommodation is good value at about 2000 baht for a well decorated double, air con and a rather large king size bed! Guest Friendly, good staff, good food. The only problem is; it is located slightly out of the main nightlife area - but with local taxis running - just a 2 min trip away.
Also highly recommended in Chaweng - Green Mango Club.

Staying at the Chaweng Villa now and place is gf. In fact so friendly that they won't ask for ID or stop them from coming and going. This of course can be both a good or bad thing 
There is no "lobby" as such....more like a driveway you drive/walk down and reception is on the right.

Chaweng Resort is girl friendly, clean and has a safe. It is at the south end of Chaweng with a better beach. There are always mototaxis around to quickly get you to Soi Green Mango. There is still lots around the hotel.
Avoid:
Baan Talay - not girl friendly after 10pm.
Chaweng Cove Resotel - stayed here my first trip and thought it was ok, after staying elsewhere I now see it as a rip off.
