NOt so much has changed in CM over the last 5 months. The beer bars are back to closing at 1 am like the rest of the town. Bubbles is still open til 2 am but now mandalay along the moat is now also open til two but be warned there is a farang charge of 300 baht for a heinekin when you walk in the door. or you can open a bottle or you can speak thai with the staff and tell them to piss off about the 300 baht. every time I went their the girl I came with ended up winning a free bottle of whisky anyway for dancing on stage.
After hours for expats has now expnded to include KK saloon right next to mandalay it is packed with trade until 5 am much like spicy. Forte is also jammed until 4 am everynight if you want a disco.
for the Thai speaking enabled show up at warm up around 1130 or midnight and you can try to pick up some uni gals after they are drunk. Or the riverside on the loud side is also good place to meet legit women who are a little older.

CEC is the new bar-beer-centre next to Star Six where all the bars that used to be next to Chiang Inn have moved to.
About 20 or so bars in there.

So -- wider or narrow face? smaller or larger eyes? typical height? nose is bigger, wider, sharper, flater? lighter or darker skin? etc...

The " pretty " Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai girls are, in general, fairer and taller with narrower nose. The reason ? I have been told that there had been Chinese blood mixed in N. Thailand. And of course all this is generalization. But it is the "preferred" look for Thai man and most asian male. Farangs generally like the more exotic darker, shorter girls with flatter nose ( stereo type Issan girls ) since their home country women are already fair skin, high nose and taller.
