No, somewhere between Pattaya and BKK. I bf a GIRL for 4 days and paid her about 1500 per day plus the usual tag along costs. I may have even paid her a bit less, maybe 5000 for 4 days...??
Getting around easy?
If you can ride a motor bike - yes. If you can drive a car - not too bad. If you use taxi's - bloody expensive. Use baht bus - but not as prolific as pattaya. The biggest rip off will be getting from the airport to the hotel.
Hotel suggestions?
There's threads on this already. I stayed at Chaweng Villa (booked a double) and they really didn't seem interested in the least of the comings and goings. No "lobby" to walk through. Don't know what the procedure/reaction would be if you wanted to check-in your "company".
Ladyboys available?
Without a doubt. In fact after closing, walking from Soi Green Mango to the Chaweng Villa (about 5 odd min walk) you will have plenty of selection. In fact, they will probably follow you back to the hotel on their scooters - Just ask cyborg about his experierences!!!
Many Go Go's like the ones in Bangkok?
No, about a grand total of 3 in the green mango area (GM) from memory. Samui is more like Pattaya, a beerbar place. I think there is some ladyboy show/whatever nearby, but never looked (although I remember them out the front early evenings on my way to GM.

As for my "experiences" with LBs...everytime I walked home to my room at Chaweng Villa I had to walk past an area that had a LB show...there were almost always LBs stalking me on there motorbikes. They would say things like"remember me? We can do that again like last time" Whatever...kind of funny to hear that on my first night ever in Samui. These damn LBs are relentless...they practically followed me up to the door of the bungalow....wouldnt that have been hard to explain to the misses??

Lbs arent my cup of tea but if someone is lookin for some they are available.
