Some personal background. I’m an Asian-American in my early 30s. This is my 4th trip to Thailand. I have been getting and passing on some info whenever possible. I’ll start posting a few reports and see how the responses is, and then decide if I should continue on. Trip Report Day 1: I knew this was a bad beginning already before I got to the airport…. It all began with the trip planning initially about 3 months ago. I was very anxious to get things rolling. At the time China Airline was the best rate and option available to me as I also have to make a stopover in Hong Kong afterward. This was a very bad flight for me compare to previous flights with Cathay Pacific. With Cathay Pacific, I leave LAX at midnight and arrive in Bangkok around 11 AM. With China Airline, I leave in the middle of the afternoon and don’t arrive in BKK until 2 days later at 01:00 AM. Cathay Pacific also has hourly flights leaving BKK to HKG, whereas China Airline only has 1 flight for the entire day. I knew I made a mistake soon after, but oh well. I come to find out about 1 month before my trip that if I waited until February for my flight reservations, I could easily save $100-200 US with better departure and arrival date and time. After making my China Airline reservations, I then booked hotels in Nana Hotel for Bangkok at the start of the trip, then Penthouse Hotel in Pattaya, and then returning back to Majestic Hotel in Bangkok before moving on to Hong Kong. Nana and Majestic reservation was ok. Nana was a bit slow in response, but still efficient. The Penthouse reservation would require some type of deposit for the higher end rooms. The credit card number and information was not enough, as they also wanted you to physically sign it as well. Problem: I don’t have a personal fax machine, I don’t want to fax something like this internationally at work that say “Penthouse Hotel in Pattaya”, and when I checked the price to fax something internationally at a Kinko-like mail services, it was outrageous. It was going to cost me over $20 US just to send several pages of fax to them, just for the reservation. I almost gave up. Then I remember. Good Old US Postal Mail. I sent my reservation to them for $1.30 US. I wrote them a week later and they confirmed my reservations. February 27th: Departure day. A buddy was to drive me to LAX. Great. Calls me up the day of and tell me that he didn’t have a car. So, I wind up driving my car to his house and then he drives my car to the airport for me. Hope my car is ok. Previous experience tells me that on flights going from LAX to HKG/TPE, almost all of the passengers are Chinese. Well, not this flight. I think up to 40% of the flight is Middle Easterners. (No offense, but we’re close to war here.) Then to top it all off, I see 2 cops escorting 2 guys in handcuffs onto my plane. I then called my buddy who drove me to the airport and asked him to threat my car with lots of love and attention. Positive note: A couple of the airline stewardesses are very young and cute and happens to be serving my area. Don’t know who to pay for barfine. j/k. So, not too bad. A nice tease before LOS.

Trip Report Day 2: Somewhere flying over the Pacific and International Dateline, Trip Report Day 1 became day 2. Not much sleep getting done. I got a crazy women to the right of me with a headphone and screams out loud the ETA and distance traveled so far, and a bunch of Indian guys to my left who would not sleep or shut up and a guy who keeps kicking my seat every 5 minute behind me. And BTW, less than 1 hour left of the flight, I used the toilet in the very rear instead of where I was, in the front. Many of the rows and seats were empty. Thank you very much. I arrived in TPE for transit to BKK. Again, I got a pretty hot Thai stewardess who served in my area. This time, the plane had even less people. And more importantly, people who knows when to shut up and sleep.

Trip Report Day 3: By the time I finally landed in BKK, it was day 3, 01:20. About 20 minutes behind schedule, but I think this is pretty good for oversea flights. A remember someone mentioning in previous trip reports before that they love the sweet smell of Bangkok when they first arrive. This isn’t one of those cases. Try 100+ Thais sleeping along the corridor with their shoes off from the exit terminals to the immigration gates. Can you say Athlete’s FEET ? Got my luggage fairly quick, and was out to the taxi stand at 01:35. Pretty good, I thought. The taxi made it to the outside of Nana Hotel by 02:05, just when everyone was exiting out from the curfew. I couldn’t get into the front door of the hotel until after 02:30. I made reservation for Nana Hotel for a king size bed on the upper floors as many suggested almost 3 months before. I got confirmed soon after. But a week before my trip, when I tried to re-confirmed, I got nothing back. I began to worry as I hear people say that Nana Hotel have “lost” people’s reservation before as they try to get more money from you. Well, they did find my reservation, but it was for a room with 2 single beds. Room 568. Great. No more room with king size bed until checkout later that day, the bellhop said. Well, whatever. The room was nothing to write home about, but I don’t think it was as bad as some other have said. It’s sufficient. So was the front desk. They were not over joyful with my arrival, but helpful and nice enough. I think they are just so tire of the 24/7 high traffic and volume sex hotel that they don’t have time to make you feel extra special. But I think they were good enough. The bellhop even offered to get me a massage, but I declined and wanted to check out the scenery. With everybody running around down at the lobby and parking lot, I had no idea which girl was available and which girl was taken with a nearby Farfang. Too much going on for someone that just got off the plane. I started walking on Sukhumvitt Rd instead but didn’t find anything else worthwhile. So, I just decided to go to a smallish MP on Suk Rd. I thought I read that there were extra services offered here. It’s the 2nd floor of Top Inn Hotel, a few stores down from Majestic. The people look like they were half asleep. It’s only 3 AM, don’t know why that would be so. The girl that I got acted pissed that I woke her up from her beauty sleep. After awhile of decent massage, I asked if extras were offered. After some outrageous asking price, I settled for 1000 Baht for 2 BJs. What I thought was BJs anyway. She started to use oil on me and going faster and faster with her hand. I kept telling her that I wanted BJs. But I don’t think she honestly understood me. Well, massage pretty good, and HJs ok. She even wanted more tips for the massage afterward. I just told her I didn’t have anymore change and gave her another 50 Baht as tip. The 2 hour Thai massage was 500 Baht. Got back to the hotel parking lot and a girl was trying to stir up some business. At first, I thought I wanted some sleep. Then I saw her friend who was kinda cute. So, I asked for both. The other girl kept saying 2 girls too much for you. (You wanda bet ???) Then I said, ok. The cute one then. And the cute girl said her friend like me more. Why you don’t like her. Bah Bah Bah Bah Bah…. Anyway, I decline. I was ready for bed then, or so I thought. Another girl at the lobby near the elevator asked if I wanted a massage. At first I declined, but was talked into it. She was an outcall massage girl from somewhere that worked in an office during regular hours, so she said. I believe that as her technique wasn’t that great. But for a 1000 Baht for ST and massage, better deal than Top Inn. At 05:00 AM, I was ready for bed. I can’t believe how much action there is so late into the evening. I’m normally an earlier sleeper when in T-Town than that. If I don’t find something by 2:00 AM, I sleep alone. But first day, I needed to release some tension. Maybe it was because I was on the 5th floor, but there was no noise problem whatsoever. Very quiet night. Even quieter than Grand Inn as you get a lot of noise from Soi 3 at all hours. The TV actually has more channels than Grand Inn, but it’s missing MTV Asia. I know it sounds stupid, but I always look forward to being able to watch Donita Rose. She’s very beautiful and hot too. Woke up around 10 AM and had the free breakfast. OK considering it’s free. How good/bad can eggs and bacons be ? Tried to find Alley Cats on Soi 8. Didn’t see it. Walked around and decided to stop by at Lolita’s before heading to Marc’s place. I thought the place opens around 10/11 AM, but it doesn’t open til 1 PM. Oh well. Stopped by at TLR, nobody there, too early. I stopped by at Bill Clinton’s Café to cool off. A few cute girls there, but not now. I went into the door at Marc’s at 01:02 PM. 3 other guys were waiting at the bar stool and all of the rooms were completely full. Marc was nice enough to offer the same rate for me to take the girls back to my hotel room. What a guy !!! I wanted to ask him about the Internet blasting of him from some a-hole recently, but he clearly was way too busy. I’ll catch up with him at another time. The girls I had showed great effort as do all of Marc’s girls. But I got a trainee who only been working there for a week. The effort and attitude was there, but the girls' performance didn’t match my previous experiences at Marc’s. Well, they can’t all be out of body experiences. I’ll probably still go back there a few more times before my trip is over. Finally got my new kind size bedroom change. Room 438. I hope it’s not THAT noisey here on the 4th floor. Tried to get my safety box now, but again, they say it’s full. Come back later, they say. Next time, I make reservation for the room AND safety box too. About an hour later, safety box was ready for me. Exchange Booth at the hotel counter does not charge service fee for traveler’s checks exchange, for what it’s worth. Took a nap around 4/4:30 PM. Wanting to wake up by about 7/8 PM, I ended up sleeping til 10:30 PM. Woke up and hurried over to Angel Witch. The place was packed no doubt due to the heavy advertising from the Internet. Since I’m still here, I want to tell anyone who has plans to come here in the next 2 weeks, that this place sucks and you should not come here. But the girls and music will be back to being great shortly after I leave. I ST-ed a hello "girl" there some persuasion. I think I was too scare that I made such a terrible mistake th at I really didn't want to check all of the signs. Everything just looked too right and felt too fake. Afterward, I stopped by at Mandarin. I wanted to get drunk now. I love the seats with holes and the glass ceiling. I just wanted to watch from then on, so, declined anymore offers for the evening. To finish the evening off, I went to a restaurant on Soi 4 called Hillary. The last time I was here, it was still Beer Garden, I think. Above average Thai food. Good value for the quality. Returned back to hotel around 2:15 AM. Massive chaos again. Saw the outcall girl from last night again as I was going to my room, but my first full day in Bangkok is done. 2:35 AM, Heading to bed.

Trip Report Day 4: With every trip to T-town, I learn something new. At least, I re-learn something that I had forgotten. Many of the girls, Tuk-Tuk and Cab drivers, or Thais in general, will simply refuse to accept “No” as an answer. You have to apply the telemarketing logic here. You tell them "No" the first time. If they keep coming back even after that, you have to be firm and slam the door in their face. I woke up pretty early around 4/5 AM with still a bit of the jetlag. I finally heard what people were complaining about with the service elevator and the thin walls. It’s really not that bad. The loudest thing was the waterheater once everybody started to wake up and take their bath and showers. And that's only because I was already awake. I finally made it to breakfast around 9 AM this morning. I wanted to make it to Baron’s at 10 so that I can see what all of the hype is all about. It turns out that Nana’s regular free breakfast is a buffet. I couldn’t understand what the waiter was telling me on the first day when I tried it. The first day, I got there around 11 AM. And they just gave me 2 eggs and a few strips of bacons and toasts plus coffee/tea. Buffet is eatable. Not great. I got to Baron’s a little after 10. Nobody had name tags or numbers. I didn’t see anyone with looks and or big breasts. So I took the prettiest of the bunch. Turns out her name is Oh. Her name has been bounced around a bit on the Net as well. Pretty good session. Only 1 shot though. Nice girl. Taught me some Thais and even some Japanese. I’m not sure if this was ever mentioned. But the entire street of Soi 24 is full of Japanese eateries and stores. Oh said many Japanese clients go to Baron’s for obvious reasons. She also informed me that Oil was there when I was picking. She had colored her hair red/orange. I must not have thought she was very pretty when I was choosing. And Saeng was not there that day. If Oil is anywhere close to Saeng as far as looks and or breast size as it have such a big discussion on, then I don’t know what everybody is smoking. Very clean place. That’s probably why Japanese clients like the place too. I even got a hair cut there afterward too. To me, more or less, Baron’s is just another soapy massage. Instead of the Bangkok soapy slide, there is the oil massage instead. But at either the soapy or this oily massage, the massage is not going to be that great as their main talent is not in their hands. If you want good Thai or oil massage, you probably wouldn’t be going to a soapy MP or Baron’s. I doubt that I would be making a return visit since the price is so high. I took an afternoon nap again after walking all of the way from Baron’s back to Nana Hotel. I stopped by to take some pictures of the usual places along with way. Hopefully, I can share some with you all. I woke up to go to Nana again. Not much going on. So I decided to check out Suzy Wong and Soi Cowboy. Usually, I’m not much of a Soi Cowboy type of guy. Not after some hype of Suzy Wong, I had to check it out. I would like to tell you more about Suzy Wong… If I ever get my hearing back and recover after blindsided with some beer splash during a show. Saw a cute hello girl that got attached onto me in front on Joe’s Bar. The bar itself have nothing. I don’t know how bars like that can stay in business against the big boys like Long Gun and Dollhouse. I ended up LT-ing this cute hello girl from Singapore. She spoke some Chinese along with Thais. That is, what I thought to be Long Time. After getting to the hotel, she hid behind me around the security guard by the elevator and quickly snuck into the elevator. She said she did not have ID with her, only passport. I told her passport is ok too. She didn’t say anything. She did say she was 22, for whatever that’s worth. After the session, she declined for some late night room service food, and started getting dressed. She thought 1500 ST. I thought 1500 LT. Anyway, I let her go for that amount. I think I might have gotten into trouble if she stuck around with her having no ID. I went to Foodland for some late night dinner. I come back and see the same girls hanging around the lobby as the nights before. Should we start calling that place Lobby A-Go-Go or something ? Relaxing day. Take it easy for tonight.
