Anybody been to Koh Chang and stayed in a smaller bungalow type place that has nice rooms and facilities, even multiple rooms in the one bungalow. Would prefer right on the beach. I have heard it is getting way developed and some of the other beaches and bays passed whitesand are much better, as far as less commercial.
Also the next island down towards the border, also quite big, called Koot, Took or something like that, a little harder to get to apparently.

Was there over NY's - ignore the hype about over-development; only applies to those who have been there 5 yrs ago. Its still a magnificent place, relatively uderdeveloped compared to other beaches.
White sands is still nice - probably recommend it for the kids, unless you want a resort that has all the family stuff in one. Get off there, and walk around till you find the place that suits your needs - its about a 500m strip.
It was packed when we were there - ie accom. full, but still quiet on the beach, but that was NY, a one off, any other time there's heaps avail. Then motorbike it by day to other beashes - or use the pick-up truck taxis...

hey I was there over New Year too. Stayed at the Koh Chang Paradise. Off the NEW BIG ferry boat, take a right, keep on going till you see the sign on the righ (2 hills and 4 beaches after the ferry I think).
Grat bungalows, clean, cool,, shaded. A/C, TV, fridge, shower etc. Right on the beach. Better to search google with the name for exact directions and prices.

I was there 3times within 6 months. Very nice! Try Baan Nuna! Nice little Bungalows with 1 bed, 1 fan and 1 bathroom. Price about 300-350 baht per night.

damn I was there NY's also, but 2 years ago & couldn't find a single suitable bed! ended up sleeping in the hut belonging to one of the small beach bars as the bartender was friendly enough to fix me up (well only accomodation wise unfortunately, but sanuk though small scale & non obvious exists like everywhere in LOS or make that Asia?)...
nice place that chang & glad to hear it's still reletively unspoiled even I heard rumours the government wants it as next/new phuket???

hi bros..
need some help here, any info and recommendations is most welcome!!
first, i understand that KC is pretty big, so which part of the island can i find beach bungalows, average priced accomondations, sight seeing and restuarants (food carts as well) etc etc... or should i put it more accessable to a family outing?? 
i'm looking for a place for 4, a multi rooms bungalow or 2 double bedrooms! did a search on Yahoo and i got many hotels and resorts, but all are pretty expensive (2700B...onwards).
Bro PhantomV.....Baan Nuna?? is it the name of the resort or part of the island?? and do they have bigger Bungalows??
Bro FB... any recommendations??
anyway..will be in town before driving up to KC, hope to see u guys and get some infos!! fellow bros.... thanks in advance!!

Then when you find the one you want, get a price from Mrs Sai at sai@gothailandtours.com (tell her Kevin from Ireland sent you). I usejher all the time and she is very reliable and very cheap.
