Well, the part about getting CIM, BBBJ while mom and dad are sleeping, or partying, is true, at least for me.
Though I prefer full service, lol! First time I ws upcountry, mom and dad were upstairs (g/f's house is wood over concrete block, with tiled lower floor, and pretty much open spaces everywhere) "sleeping" while I was doing the dirty deed with their looksao.
Last time (a month or so ago) we all partied downstairs, then my teelak and I repaired to the upstairs room. It's all vintage wood (looks like teak but is some other kind of dark, oily wood indigenous to the area) and we camped under a mosquito net. Her son slept next to us -- after he konks out, he's dead to the world. We were both feeling a bit frisky, so I jumped aboard (heave ho! sailor!) and we did the nasty. Mom, dad, and friends were still partying downstairs to morlam VCD's. My tgf asked me to finish the job outside, so she wouldn't have to do the walk of shame to the outhouse. Being the evil barstard, I did it anyway, she laughed, but refused to go downstairs. I did, slipped past the all the drunken dancing, but was assailed on my return. Mom's three sheets to the wind, and wanted to dance with me, so I did, but danced my way in the direction of the stairs. Then, slipped past her and up to the arms of my teelakja, lol!
Next day, spent some nice quality time with her grandma (the one with the new eyes). We sat for a few hours on her grandma's stoop while I sucked coffee and my TGF and grandma chatted occassionally. It was really relaxing to see life slip by in the dusty streets of the mooban, and to see all the retired BG's hanging around on their new motocy's. (I suppose I should contribute here some thoughts about the retired BG culture in her village, but laziness overcomes me at the moment.)

Good question, so I just asked my TGF what the name of that little, short-legged bamboo table is that sits outside of all the houses and that everyone congregates upon. She said it's called a "krair," spelled:
sala air, ka kwai, ra reua, mai ek (over the "r").
She doesn't pronounce the "r" too much, sounds more like the usual Isaan "r/l" sound.
Want to cross check it in the dictionary myself to see what they think that means in English.
