The ladies on the Cambo side of the border have a higher incidence of HIV in that neck of the Cambo woods. It's been spread up and down the highway to PP by the local truckers. So be careful and play safe if you are going to any of the lower end joints in Poipet. Condoms should be mandatory there, even if some of the local girls may not insist on it. My intel on the ground there suggests that one needs to be a bit more careful when on that side of border and taking a little R&R overnight, even in the casinos. Not trying to be an alarmist, just what my connections there tell me.

Poipot is not the border where Trad is. I think the border is called Hat Lek on the Thai side and Koh Kong on the Cambodian.
Poipet is rightly about 3 hours north of Trad.
