This must be new, I don't recall Sakaew having anything that could ever be described as a "resort and spa".

The "resort and Spa" as I best remember is a hotel on the road to Aranyaphathet. It looked nice and I'm sure is the finest place in town.

If you are coming from Aranya to SK then you go through the lights and the resport place is on the right, just before you reach the center of town. Its the only hotel in SK that I am aware.
My gf is from SK and when I first stayed with her (at first I could not stay in her family house until mum approved) I had to stay in a hotel in Arayna due to no hotels in SK.

I spent a night here on my last trip. Don't ask me why, but I like this place. I looked all around the city, just on my own mind you, and only came upon one massage place. It was also a kareoke place. The best way to give directions to it is that if you make it to the market near the bus station, just look around for one of the few signs in English, and if it happens to say 'massage', and there are two girls sitting out front, thats it. I asked the girls how much was massage, and it was 200 an hour or so. One of the girls was real good looking why the other was good looking but with sort of a bad attitude. I decided not to partake. I also say a transvestite prostitute trolling the bus station, but he was asking to much, so I passed on that also.
Not too far from Sa Kaeo just off the 304 (on the 3079) going south to Phenom Sarakham I passed through the 304 Industrial Estates. If anyone here has ever been there I'd like to hear about it. Lots of nice hotels and places with 'sexy ladies dance'. On my next visit I plan on spending a couple days out there see what all is going on.
A bit further from Sa Kaeo I spent a night in Phenom Sarakham. This is the third time that I have stayed here and always at the Phemom City Hotel. The first two times I stayed here I got massages that ended up lasting for 4 hours each, and having wonderful experiences with 2 older (mid 30's) but OK looking women. On this trip I think I was too picky and just couldn't downscale as much was necessary to take one of the massage ladies. I watch the singing in the cafe for a bit, and there were some very hot looking singers. But I just did not know how the whole thing worked, and no one spoke English but me, so I ended up passing on it. I spent some time over at the 7/11 Store which I always enjoy and had a nice dinner over there.
On a cultural note the area around SI Mahosot was pretty interesting. Lots of old crap from a thousand years ago and also a lot of neat bhuddist stuff, like the oldest bodhi tree in Thailand, and the oldest Buddha's footprint in Thailand.

The bohdi tree that I mentioned is supposed to have been the one the buddha found enlightenment under. It was brought over from Sri Lanka a thousand years ago or something. Also in the area are several other old neat things, wells with carvings on the side and things like that. I found the whole area rather fascinating, but then I am easily amused.

I was in Sakaeo last November, but I have been very lazy to post. Anyhow, I really liked the town - it kind of grows on you after you are there for awhile. There lots of interesting things to see in the area as well- including Pang Sida Park and Lalu, "the Grand Canyon of Thailand".
Like the other poster said, there are about 2 massage parlors across from the night market and a couple of bars where takeouts are available on the same Soi. I saw a couple of real cuties hanging around but I didn't partake.
Like I said in my previous post I stayed at the "No River Resort and Spa" - it's a not really a resort per se but a small motel. Pretty good all the around though.
By the way, there is no river there. 555555
