when I met my girl she had a dirt floor,
only took a little time till I went to the store,
bought beds for the family, tile for the floor,
now my isaan family has bed sores no more.
But the air was too hot to sleep well at night,
so I went out and bought aircon to make everyone feel just right.
We needed a new kitchen because the other one was filth,
but now that we built it, they use the old one still which makes my head tilt.

but a truck was needed to hardly ever drive because they dont work and dont need to drive. but I bought them a new truck, of course fully loaded, so now I am known as an idiot by the man who sold it.
to the house I built 3 new rooms, but they still sleep outside with nothing to do.
I bought 11 cows thinking this would help
to help the family be self sufficient but it made my heart melt
when they sold 6 cows I don't know where they went.
all the gold my wife looked so pretty
is now worn by her mother 'to hold for her' don't that just make me feel giddy.
i want to write a new book,
how to meet an isaan girl who will take a look

yes I wrote it in jest but it is the way it works out for so many people.... then divorce in farang land where they get 1/2 of what you have... the finl nail I the coffin.....

Excellent - I usually just help them with a bunch of canned messages and replies for their SMS messages, as well as tricks to get the most (including during the divorce) from gullible punters that like to be spoken to dirty in the bedroom.

Oh, I don't doubt it - after all, 85% of people are just abject morons... I'm sure the percentage if much higher for farang in Thailand, since it ain't exactly the cream of the crop that travels there en masse.

this is a true story...I was in the village years ago and was looking up at the milky way... and I ask my girl what she thought it was... she looked and said "i don't know"... ok,most farang girls don't knwo either, but it was syill amusing.. another time I was with a girl in pattaya.. I asked her "why does the water sometimes come up high and sometimes go low (the tide).... she said I not know.

Being in such an environment, even one not as chaotic (say, only 50% of the people drunk all the time, or all of the people drunk only 50% of the time), it makes you not only reflect a lot on who you are and what you are doing there... but more days of it makes you crazy.
