What's a good Hotel for Udon Thani? I will be going with out a reservation so if you can list your choices by rank please. I've heard a lot of good things about the Irish Clock. Would also like to know about the larger hotels. From the reports here the action is around the lake. Sounds like Charoen hotel is out. Thank you all in advance.

Charseon Grand Hotel (best hotel in Udon), next to the Main Shopping Mall (around 2K per night). Close to Farang Street, it's easy to catch a tuk-tuk to the local brothels/soapy parlors.
Ban Chang Hotel, 1.5K (4-Star), close to Oscar Massage (Oscar Massage actually attached to the Charseon Hotel, the 3 star Charseon). 20 minute walk or 5-10 minute tuk-tuk ride to Farang Street.
Charseon Hotel, lot of negative reports about this hotel. I haven't stayed there, but have visited Oscars and have seen some cuties hanging around the streets of the hotel.
Top Mansions, located on Farang Street...nice and cheap hotel.
This one might be fully booked.
Ryu Suk located on the street with all the local brothels, about 200-300 baht a night.
Irish Cock is also located on Farang Street, good food and good location.
