That's going to make it difficult for the idiots who went on these demos to get new IDs. Some of them will need them of course because they surrendered their Thai IDs to local red shirt organisers when they jumped on the pick-up truck to head off to Bangers. They were told they would get them back when they came home and they would get 500THB per day salary plus free food. But they also found their ID cards were "confiscated" as not returning them was one way of keeping these clowns on the demos.

Yeah, I thought about that as well. Another member told me, during a phone call, that some protesters had their ID cards taken to ensure that they stayed. Was this just rumor - or is their substance to this?
One of my relatives pointed to the burned out building and said "maybe those people who need ID cards will be Lao People now".
Everything quiet here. Taking the overnight train to BKK Sunday and then on to Hua Hin.

As a matter of ffact, I do. Spend some time up north in Esan and get to know the people. The majority of the girls working in Bkk and other places come from Esan.
In a way, I'd say that you support the Reds also.
Why is it that many are so ready to condem them for what they did? If you research your own country, you'll see that some of the same things occured in yours. In the USA it happened and hopefully it will happen again with this regime we have in office now.
This is just my opinion of course and we all know about opinions.

My exwife is from Buriram and has always been anti-RedShirt. Additionaly Buriram & Surin provinces were not on curfew.
