Dear all, Due to the finanical crisis, Bangkok had turn out to be an high end entertainment centre to me. ŬI had switch my attention for some cheaper destination, Hatyai. Although this is a Bangkok site, but it is the most informative site for night life. ŬI would greatly appreciates, if someone could give some information regarding Hatyai and its night life, (Hotel, girl, price, etc.) Thousand Thanks

Hi Newbie, Sammyboy's forum is where I would refer you to, but it seems to be shut down for good. Yes, it is quite true that you could get some good deals there. I remembered getting a good 2 round session for only 500B. However, Bangkok is not all that expensive. Sure, there are the high end ones too. Anyway, let us see if we have some Hatyai veterans among us here. BK p/s: if I do find anything, I will post the links here.

Hi Lion Club, Hatyai is down south, in the Songkhla province, close to the Malaysian border. You can either fly over, drive or take a train there. It is a smaller city, with its own collection of massage parlors and nightlife. Oh yes, it is pretty safe there. BK

I'm familiar with hatyai but do not profess to be an expert. I joined this forum months ago and have been waiting around for someone - anyone - to bring up hatyai, to no avail until now. Its a great city! I've traveled around the south to quite a few places and hy is my favorite. Great food, varying from dim sum to roti. Most of the peeps are nice - a lot of chinese merchant types and friendly thai-muslims. HY is a "big" city but the downtown is small, you can get around on foot. Lots of places to stay at all price levels, expect to get asked for a girl at almost any hotel you book into. What ever you do, DO NOT stay atthe cathay guest house. The authors of the lonely planet rave about this place, but they have either no idea what they are talking about or have not stayed there in a decade. The place is absolutely disgusting. Pay 2 hundred baht more and stay in the King hotel in downtown - a LOT better, or just a few steps away at the ladda guesthouse. As for apartments, there are plenty of places in downtown with a standard 3-4000 baht a month place. You'll be surprised at how many isaan girls live in these places...

Hi there, I have also spent several great times in Had Yai. I traveled to the malaysian border regularely to extend my visa. The most reasonable priced hotel that I stayed in was King's Hotel. I payed 350 Baht per night and got a great room incl. air, TV, hot shower. Concerning nightlife... there is something like a turkish bath appr. 10 min by tuk tuk away from the center. The choice is not great but there sometimes are nice girls available for 500-600 Baht (for F*** only). The rooms are small but who cares if you want to get a quick relief. The Pink Lady Hotel offers traditional massage as well as body massage. I once took traditional massage for 200 Baht and the girl asked me whether I would like to have "massad tink tonk" while grabbing my sack. I sayed "yes" and payed 200 Baht extra. I got a terrific HJ and watched a nice porno shown on one of the hotels movie screens. If you are nice you can pick up girls from McDonalds. But generally be careful because there are many muslim girls and they are not used to be spoken to by a farang. Overall I love this city... so far my second choice in Thailand after Bangkok. Enjoy! 7eleven

7-11, yeah I definitely feel for the King Hotel. Its not exactly 5 star sofitel but for the $ you are paying its clean, quiet and well run. One thing I've noticed is that prices there fluctuate year round. Usually its around 400 but its been higher and lower, depending on tourist season. delta - I've never done a sandwich in HY but that doesnt mean its unavailable. What I have found though is that the price for a single soapy is the same in BKK - 1200, so perhaps its the same in HY? good luck.
