Hua Hin wouldn't suit all tastes - if Pattaya represents your ideal, you'll probably hate it. This certainly isn't a sex-in-your-face kind of place, and even Soi Binthabat is very laid-back and low-pressure. About as genteel as the farang P4P scene gets.
About a year ago, I had an exceptionally nice girl from here. She had the almost-skinny-but-with-above-average-breasts figure that would make her a shoo-in at most Bangkok GGs, and I asked her why she didn't go the capital and make a lot more dough. Turned out she was a refugee from Pattaya, hated the high-turnover scene, and liked HH because she got to service mainly long-term clients and regular expat weekenders from BKK. Less hassle and trauma all round.
Anyway, if you prefer your BGs relatively soft-core, this is a good place to look. Soi Binthabat certainly isn't Stunner Boulevard, but imho there's no great shortage of nice-looking girls there.

I know what you mean Arcadius. I'm quite fussy with girls, but I have found there to be no shortage of attractive ladies down there.
I think you get some that stay in Hua Hin, rather than going to BKK and making more cash, because the environment is much nicer. There is a girl I know there, who is very attractive, and she says she would never leave there, as she likes it so much and all her friends are there.
Overall, it's a very nice little beach town.

But yes - I suspect most of the lookers in HH who don't have local family connections must have this kind of motive for working there. Most will have followed a friend down to try it out and then stayed because the laid-back atmosphere suits their temperament. They certainly won't be working HH to maximise their earnings.
Upshot is that if you like the low-powered feel of Hua Hin, it's not difficult to find a local BG to match.

From what I've been told, some girls prefer the method of the work in Hua Hin.
There seems to be a lot more small relationships (guys spending a week or 2 with a girl), rather than just the standard ST / LT thing. This usually involves bits of money being paid, and/or a gift at the end of the farang's holiday. One girl I know down in Cha-am has a whole bunch of rings and bracelets that she's accumualated, and will not hesitate to sell if needed. She's very poen about this, and even seemed to be quite amused.
I suppose it's a bit more dignified for girls to work in this manner as well.
I'm sure this thing happens in other beachside resorts, but due to the smaller scale of the whole Hua Hin / Cha-am scene, it probably happens far more regulary in those parts.

Sorry to reply to you late, I can't remember the street name, just remember it was right across from the Hilton and the taxi driver said all the beer bars were on this street. I had a TGF with me and had a few beers down this street, but basically saw a row of bars down this street and not that many ladies. We walked the area for a couple nights straight around by the hilton down to the Hua Hin Mall and I would have thought we hit about every street, so if I missed where the action is I was either in the wrong part of town and really wasn't looking. Went to go play golf and relax a bit on the beach. Wasn't exactly impressed with either, only the seafood places on the piers were great. Again, thought the hotel prices a bit high, the beach didn't impress me at all, golf was ok nothing special except not crowded and not expensive, but yes a relaxing beach town. I think a few days was enough for me. All in all, friendly people and a nice place but probably won't return. If I'm looking for relaxation and nice beaches, still hard to beat Phuket, and 2.5 hours in a car, would rather have the 1 hour in a plane. If I'm looking to play golf, I would say Pattaya beats them all. But will admit the people of Hua Hin seemed more nice than that in Phuket or Pattaya. I guess we all have our own style and idea of relaxation. To me, sometimes it's anything just to get out of BKK for a few days.

You're right, everyone has their own idea of relaxation. Maybe you've been there at a different time of year to me, but I've always seen quite a few ladies down there. Not too many, but not too less either, just a nice amount.
Have you tried Cha-am? That is REALLY quiet. Perfect if you wanna get away from Bangkok and just chill out on a beach for a few days.

Missed Cha-Am the last time and the time we're talking about in Hua Hin was I think the first or second week in December 03, might have been the end of November. Most people said it doesn't get real busy in Hua Hin till after the holidays. As for Cha Am, as you said, I heard it was much more quieter than Hua Hin, which would have been way to quiet for me and heard the beach wasn't as nice. Again, only what I heard, never tried. Unless they've totally destroyed it by now which they are well on their way (been going to Phuket for 12 years) but it's been a year since I've been, still the kind of beaches (and I hope it's okay to say this) bitches for me. Question: You think Cha Am would have been a better choice for that short get away?

I spent a week in Hua Hin at Xmas & 3 wks in BKK. I enjoyed it immensely. Should hv stayed in HH 3 wks & BKK 1 wk. Met plenty of girls who were lookers & spoke reasonable Eng. I got a v cute 20 yo for the wk. Much cheaper than Bkk. Two great discos; Hilton good pick-up for Farangs; & Beach Hotel for Thai nite. Great music in both. Seafood plentiful & cheap. However, there is only about 30 bars in Soi Bintaban (near Hilton). Poolsuk Rd & sub sois so I can see why some bros would get bored. Me I liked the clean air, beach & the ladies I met. My hotel was new, good value, girl friendly & only a few minutes walk from the action. With Xmas surcharge paid THB1200 incl ABF.
