I am sure most guys here have seen at some time a farang guy walking carefree with a young girl - a really really young girl whom no one can make any mistake about. OK, he may be her adoptive father. But you can see she is dressed so unmistakably in a sexual manner. I am sure this farang would not have his daughter back home dress similarly. But in Thailand he imagines he has the licence. What did u do then ? Walked past, pretending not to see? Stared at him and conveyed your disapproval?
If people are serious about preventing these crimes, I think they need to convey their disgust in unmistakable terms and body language so that men do not feel encouraged to flaunt little companions dressed "dirty" -- to use a crude but effective expression. IMHO these things go on so brazenly because guys are confident that, in a thickly P4P environment people are hardly going to notice and, even if they do, no body's gonna say anything. NicFrenchy's original post is apt. If you are serious do something about it.

On a personnal note, If I would encounter a Man holding hands to a Sexily Dressed Young looking Girl, I'd probably do nothing. Not that I would be scared (I'm quite confident I can hold myself quite well) but what if it is his daughter/friend of the Family?

The age for consentual sex in Aus is 16 for girls and 18 for men. So many years ago when I "went with" long- term girl-friend we BOTH actually broke the law,, she was 15, 11 months I was 17,2 months.
In Australia we have a very great discust for older men having sex with young women, we have a name for them... ROCK - SPIDERS.

BUT about 5 years ago I met a cute girl who came to eat with us at a friends house,
her name was tan, she looked about 18/19 anyway at the joke place about 2 in the morning she came to our table I was in the toilet and she agreed with my friend 2000 baht for 2 of us,
when back at the hotel I had sex with her my friend did'nt,
no problem.

issanking, It's only my opinion but I definately feel you where wrong. Any girl that I even think MAY be under 20 I ask for ID, usually takes me a few minutes calculation with the Buddha year or whatever but I always MAKE sure as much as possible.
Its a done thing so it is not something to loose sleep over but definately a lesson to be learnt.After all it was a big risk with very bad, very nasty possible consequences. And there where probably several hundred eager 20 - 25 year olds within a few hundred metres of you at the time.

I always have the front desk check her age and many hotels now have a scanner that can tell if the girls I.D. card is fake. I will not take anyone under 20,it is better to tell young ones to go away and live to f*** another day.The best f*** in the world is not worth 1 day in a thai jail

One must agree that it is always wise to check the ID cards of young ladies to ensure that they are "öf age". I have been here for quite a few decades but still get stumped sometimes when guessing a lassie's age.
By the way, I suppose that I would also qualify as being what the Aussies apparently call a "spider lobster" or some such term because on occasion I have lady friends who are almost as young as my grandchildren. Doesn't bother me one iota as long as they are of legal age.
