cj - I believe from memory (rented a house in pkt for 18 mths b4 moving to bkk start 2000, and we used to see a few traveller folk on their clueless way (having taken a wrong turn at Phang Na, no doubt), that the "black moon" parties ARE held on the night of the full moon, and are in fact held on Samui as you suggested.
The whole half moon thing is just taking the piss quite frankly; you might as well just announce that Saturday night is going to be party night every week....er, or did someone already do that.
My post, whilst originally intended to make a worthwhile point, lapsed into utter facetiousness and if it led any persons to a greater level of misguidance (not a real word), than they were already enjoying, then I'm sorry. Your previous one btw made me lol - can I therefore assign you with responsibility for my levity and irresponsible post?.

What is it you've got to wonder, California Dan? That perhaps some members don't want to get abusive or junk e-mails from disturbed or psychotic individuals who don't know when to let go?
Or whether your quotient of e-mails received will be increased by pasting it up whenever you get the chance. For whom? And to what end?
Within this forum there is a messenger service for private dialogue between individuals, and should documents etc., need to be passed between them the e-mail can be provided as and when. Personally, I provide my e-mail address to people or organisations with whom I have made an acquaintance, as well as a decision.
Someone like CJ (I choose as example, simply because you know who I mean) may choose to provide an e-mail address as he has a business in Thailand that may benefit from referrals from within this forum - it is therefore available for other members to pass to contacts interested in voluntary pain and suffering, such as yourself.
Why do you provide yours (what do you feel it will bring you from the forum that the postings and messenger service cannot?)? I have a program that can send you 2,000 e-mails a day from randomly generated e-mail addresses. Would you like me to do that?
Whilst in wondering mode........you are not the same dan from California I met 3 years ago wandering along the beach in Phi Phi 2 nights before full moon who had, until only a few minutes prior to our chance meeting, enjoyed a dreamy skinny dipping session entered into by first sprinting the 200m or so across golden moonlit sands, to return later with the tide (unlike his clothing)? This was shortly before dawn, and a certain uneasy rippling was affecting his visage in a curious and slightly unsettling way, as he appeared to be trying to mentally deflect the rising and multiple waves of trepidation now washing over him with regard to the consequences of his rather rash and ill-conceived earlier actions (of course his identification and other important personal effects were in his jeans rear pocket too, for safekeeping).
