Last month I stayed at the Raming Lodge with an internet discount price of around 1060 baht per night. Great location, very nice room. I highly recommend, for the price. Two enterences, one right to Loi Kroh Road and the many beer bars. The Loi Kroh (back) enterence is good for sneeking in your ST honeys without having to pass the front desk.

Long time fella!!
There are a cluster of girl friendly 3* hotels near Anusarn night market in the 1000b category. Most don't charge joiner fees & are also walking distance to the beer bars on loi kroh road.
Last time, I stayed at the aptly names Pornping Hotel!!! had a room on the 23rd floor with great views over the city & towards the hills. Marble floored, good a/c, brekkie included & no-one batted an eyelid when I brought birds back.
Other notable places include Suriwongse, Imperial & Royal Princess.
