Hello all,
Does anyone here have any experience with ladyboys in Chiang mai ?? Bangkok seems to be the place to go for that, but I was wondering if there was much to offer in Chiang mai ??
Where do they hang out ? There is not a specific bar for them there, and I dont really trust the ones that roam the streets at night.
I have been there before, but didnt see any.
please help if you can shed any light on this.

There is a gay bar where several katoey hang out. The name may be "Coffee Boy" but I'm not sure...

coffee boy is a gay bar out by the bus station been there for years
generally there is no real ladyboy scene there is a small gay /straight bar area back of the night bazzar by a large open car park if you find the climbing wall go behind it till you hit a road abou 10m turn left and wander down the road you come to a load of bars on either side of the road on the right hand side right at the back there is a couple of gay bars (you have to run the gauntlet as thats where the toilets are !!)
ocasionally there are a couple of ladyboys easy to spot as they pig ugly and thats about it
its not out in the open so thats all I know as its not my scene

When I was there, there were a few ladyboys on Loh Kroi street around the bar scene around 2am and along the main road (I forgot the name; the same street that Spotlite is on that parallels the eastern moat. One wouldn't take no for an answer...left me with a bad view of katoeys...

they are all around the moat near the Rydge hotel... and also I saw a herd of them down some sideroad that 'stairway to heaven' is on, around 3-5am....
