1) In-room Broadband internet connections, or their in-room telephone system allows normal modemn dial-up connections.
2) in-room safe box.

Hi Winkelried,
Thank your formation. If Wang Thong hotel has no broadband, then I can connect my laptop to the internet via their in-room telephone system? This is because some hotel telephone system is digital and cannot be connected via 56K dialup modem.

Most hotels in the far north are on pulse dialing. Phone out from your room, if you hear a series of clicks as opposed to multi tone beeps reset the dialer on modem to pulse not tone dialing and you should connect OK.
