I have not been to Krabi for about four years but that was my favourite place back then. Places change, there is a sudden large influx of tourism and your favourite spot is not quite so any longer.
I've had some interesting replies for Koh Tao but it really seems a divers paradise. I've heard mixed reports about Koh Phangan and Koh Samui ?
So where at the moment is YOUR favourite resort/town in LOS ?

At the moment mine is Phi Phi...but I have been told that Phangan is also a great place visit, with very few tourists.
The great thing about Phi Phi is that there are no roads on the Island, and everything is just soooo chilled, and when you buy a beer in a mini supermarket...they open it for you immediatly...nothing like walking around with an ice cold beer in your hand...

Try Koh Hai & Koh Ngai, two twin islands under Koh Lanta.....there are a couple of very nice resorts, not crowded by western tourists as it's quite an unusual destination....www.kohhai.com

Phuket because of the variety of places & scenery. You want quiet its available you want in your face entertainment its only a short distance away.
Whilst I dislike Samui (overated to hell in my opinion) I like Koh Phangan but not during the Full Moon parties!

Pattaya is the place I most enjoy. My money goes about 20-25% further then in BKK. Easy to get around the nite life area. Temperature is usually a couple of degrees cooler then BKK and most of the time a nice breeze off the ocean that clears away the air pollution.
Pattaya has 3000 bars and at least 30000 BG. I find most of them are good to go for 500 st and 1k lt.

All Over Thailand is my favourite. Although, I have not been to many places. I always plan (Rather dream) that this time I will pick up a nice girl in Thailand, and I will spend all my holidays with her. But, I land up mostly with wrong girl, or wrong schedule. But still am trying.......................Pattaya was a good place for me twice, but last time I was cheated.

I prefer Bangkok verses Pattaya, I have gotten the same rates in both places 500st 1000lt. Bangkok has a better appeal to me because of the nightlife, plus the TG's are a more classier that the TG's in Pattaya. I still go to both places when I am there so what the heck!

Phuket,Pattaya,Bkk, Cm are all cool places, but after 10 plus years it was nice to try a bit further into the hinterland, Kohn Kaen, Kalasin, Udon, Khorat, Mukdahan, Surin, Roi Et, Sisaket, Burriram etc. You can always return to the Big 4, and enjoy the comparison.
