To all I am in constant contact with a girl in Pattaya I know and have been emailing for 12 monthsplan to meet her at xmas for my stay then. We r going to see how it goes between us when I am there. She says she wants to take me to Korat and to her home says ther is many places to go and see. Can any1 give me info on how to get there and a link to a map or the area and hotels and othere thigns they have there. I know she works in a bar in Pattaya but she never goes off with any punters aas she likes me to much I know I can trust her and she never lies to me, I know most of u will say this is not true but I know her well enough to trust her as may even ask to finish in the bar help her get another job and pay for her english lessons. Any plz let me know

you are trusting her because you get her observed, right? if not, that would be quite foooooolish...
next to korat are ther ruins of phimai. very interesting if you are in the area anyways.
go there by plane (less than 1 hour) or bus ( around 7 hours).

7h to go to Korat by bus?
No way, you probably did like me the first time I been to Pattaya (took the wrong bus that stop every 5mn, took me over 4 hours)
Bus to from Bangkok to Korat is a bit over 3 hours 30, no more. You have to go to Nothern bus Terminal and ask there, you can easyly go there with skytrain: go to Mo Chit and then catch an taxi and ask for the terminal.

mmmm....7 hours from Bangkok and what we have?
Udon Thani or Khon Kaen...and if the bus is fast, we can touch down in Nong Khai directly!
As Madfrog stated, Korat is 3 hrs from Bkk....easy and nice ride...I suggest to rent a car and enjoy the sightseen, the good restaurants and the verrrry beautiful TGs: Korat is a sort of factory of BGs/TGs and some of the finest are produced there.....

korat are always nice and peaceful except the period of feb-march and may when the multi-lateral military exercises involving USA,spore and thai are held.
korat have a university which have some cute,beautiful young girls.
