hello all,
im going to chaing mai..staying at sheraton in 4 weeks or so.
ive never been to chaing mai. is there a good massage parlor anyone can recommend for me please. any help would be great..thanks and cheers.

Sayuri is pretty much the only worthwhile game in town. You can always try out the chiangmai land rd karaokes but it's pretty hit or miss if you're a farang (im not.)
Sayuri is cheap but the quality is noticeably below Bangkok and the attitude varies more too. I spent a considerable amount of time "testing out the wares" in Sayuri and have had mostly great experiences but a small string of notable bad experiences out of 15 or so girls. Then again i'm young, a non tipping cheapskate, and tended to make the girls work. In the end I stuck with a couple regulars. So your mileage may vary.
Btw, when I was in Chiang Mai (around songkran) there were a lot of hungry punters around and little talent. Aside from Sayuri the loi kroh bar quality level was nonexistant. Just an example of this.. I hung out at a place called Spicy Pub for an evening and it was full of young horny farang backpackers with a few leftover bargirls plying their trade. Pretty weak compared to everywhere else i've been. I think Chiang Mai is a better place to look for normal girls to date than to pick up the C level pros.

All the pretty Chiang Mai p4p girls are in BKK. Same with Chiang Rai. They do not want to work in their hometown for fear of being recognized. The only bar worth visiting is the Spotlight AGoGo. But even there, the best you can do is about 7's.

Bros, if Sayuri is consider "cheap"--just need to know what are the recommended prices for a massage, as not to be ripped off as I will be a newbie in CM this Nov.
Note: saw one post that prices were 900b and 1200 for "super"
and various other post for 1800b-2K? so U can see my confusion.

900b was the going rate last time I was there during April 2005. The prices for super is accurate but if you don't tip the supers expect them to greet with you a frown next time they see you if they see you at all. The supers in Sayuri were more like a little above average fishtank girls in BKK. One was downright cute..she looked like a Japanese AV model but I only saw her once, she probably picked up a sponsor really soon after that. I still kick myself for not picking her when I had the chance because it was a true bargain.
The clientele in Sayuri is oftentimes amusing. I saw no less than 2 Taiwanese tour groups led by a female guide pass through there for "recreational" stop. A lot of thais hang out there and want to make small talk with me for some reason. They usually think i'm thai and when they find out i'm not they spend a good while jabbering away at me in broken english while i'm trying to concentrate on the pussy.

Since I dont look thai, perhaps I wont get away with 900b and 1200b super, but will try to get as close to local price as possible (as long as its not 1800-2k).
A thought did occur to me that perhaps some bros had nearly 2k prices at this MP because:
1) dont look or speak thai so farang surcharges apply
2) maybe some bros took tuk tuk or taxi there ( dont really know if this place have "taxi commission" added to bill or not.)
But anyway paying almost double the local price is alot.
BTW: If I decide to venture into the Chiang Mai Land kareoke places with a travelling friend (asian but not thai).
1) where exactly are they located? ex. near what big hotel or cross streets?
2) what are the recommended prices for bar fines and LT (only interested in LT for the nite)
3) best time to visit these places for max gal presence?
ex. too early no gals, too late -all taken
