anything worthwhile to do there? i'll be in phi phi for about 5 days and thinking of heading over to krabi, but i want to make sure it's not a waste of time.

krabi is sort of a small town..
they have many caves and its cool to lie on the beach looking up a cave....
worth a visit...
anyway.. u will be in krabi before transfering to PhiPhi unless u come from Phuket

Is June (first week) the monsoon season in Krabi? Heard wind changes direction and blows all the garbage on the beachs. Is it the wrong time for a trip for a few days? Or would I be better off going to Koh Sumai?

Krabi as a town sort of sucks, but there arre some great beaches around. I love Ao Nang - great diving, Great sceenery, Great island life. No night scene worth talking about and no BG scene at all, but a great placve to go to. If you want to spoil yourslef stay at the Queens Bay Pavilion in Ao Nang - You can get it for 2900 a night for two (stay 6 get two free)
