Chiang Mai: I love the place because it doesn't have the craziness of BKK (which I also like), and it is a great change of pace (and for you brothers that like the lighter skinned TGs, this is the place for you). Now, for the purposes of the forum, I wasn't too impressed with the nightlife. There were a few outside bars that girls were hanging out, it was in this one area of the main city (near the night bazaar - a long strip of stalls selling all sorts of goods, similar to Patpong) but I have heard that it is also refered to as "HIV-Central", so be careful. I stopped by a place called the Bunny Club (186/1 Loh Kroh Rd), it was decent at best, the girls were so-so looking (nothing compared to BKK, Phuket or Pataya, I would say 5's and 6's), barfine was 500bt, and the girls wanted 1,000bt (ST). There was also another place across from my hotel (Chiang Mai Empress) called the Munroe Club, it looked a little upscale but I never stopped by. All in all, its (Chiang Mai) a good place to relax and take it easy, not really a place to plan a "misbehaving"week for the boys. Great sightseeing, good tours, great temples, good shopping, etc. Never had the chance to check out the MPs or Escort Services.

69er, Try Sayuri Complex for soapy massage in Chiang Mai. It is not up to Bangkok or Pattaya standards but certainly my prefered choice when in Chiang Mai. I can't remember the pricing structure (high front end like Bangkok) or (low front end like Pattaya), whatever, I know the total is between Baht 2,000 and 2,500.
The standard rooms are a bit on the small side so I would pay the extra Baht 100 - 300 for one of the VIP rooms.
All the tuk tuk's seem to know it so you shouldn't have any probelms finding it.

To all brothers interested in Chiang Mai, here is some more info I dug up on the net...Play safe...
1) Spotlight Go-Go Bar - (Kotchasarn Road, near Thapae Gate)
2) Beer Bar Centre 1 - (Moonmuang Road, opposite Spotlight Go-Go)
3) Beer Bar Centre 2 - (in the vicinity of the Night Bazaar)
4) Beer Bar Centre 3 - (next to Star Xix, in the vicinity of the Imperial Mae Ping Hotel)
5) Nice Illusion - (live Thai music, interesting after midnight, opposite Sompet Market, just cross the iron "Raw Bear" bridge)
6) A complete range with bars you will find at Loi Kroh Road, starting from the corner with Kotchasarn Road
7) Another number of bars you will find at Moonmuang Road, opposite Spotlight a Go Go
Note: In Chiang Mai the Thai KGB is very active

Casey, I dont know what "Thai-KGB is", that quote came off the website that had all the addresses. My guess is that it is either 1)the Russian presence in Chiang Mai, shaking down the businesses, 2) the Thai version of organized crime shaking down the businesses or 3) A joint venture between the locals and the Russians. Either way, I guess the quote was directed at all of us to be careful, mind our P's and Q's, chew with our mouths closed and laugh at all jokes (555).
