I was recently introduced to a night club by one of my restaurant customers. I've been to quite a few in my 4 1/2 years here, but since this one was relatively close to our restaurant (which is fair distance from the city center) I thought I'd give it a look see. It's located in district 6, which can be charitably be described a working class district.
The club itself is nicely done-comfortable, nice view of the stage from any angle, the ubiquitous lighting and sound which is far too loud for the likes of me (maybe I'm getting too old?) but the shows are fun and well staged. What set this place apart from all the others I've been to was the stunning variety of absolute babes just waiting for somebody to give them a moment's attention.
Our group was seated at a table close to the stage, and from the moment I sat down until the moment I left, my friend kept a steady stream of incredible looking babes coming to sit to the left of me, right of me, behind me... and those were just the ones he invited. There were others in the periphery trying to get my attention, too.
It seems that, like Thailand, if you're a foreigner you pretty much get the leftovers unless you are willing to pay some big bucks. ($100+) The P4P trade is EVERYWHERE in Viet Nam, but you do have to know how to spot it. I'm not good at that, so I rely on my VNese friends to educate me. What's different from Thailand is that the Vietnamese are genuinely infatuated with us Anglo types and if any effort is made to show interest and have fun with them, you will have a friend (s) for life.
I didn't take advantage of the offerings available at the club (I'm already happily accounted for) but I did say that if any foreigner friends come by to visit me, I'd be sure to introduce them to the club. I even got my own VIP card!
The customer who introduced me to the club (it's called 2000) brought by one of his girlfriends last night. She wanted to meet me so she could invite me to dance with her the next time I came to 2000. Gawd, what a honey. Whoever said that there's such a thing as marketing overkill obviously has never seen tits like hers. He was telling me how he was going to take his gf (I'll never forget her... uh... name-Mai) to a hotel after dinner, so I asked Mai to take notes and report back on what she likes for future reference. She invited me along and suggested I bring my camera. Such a thoughtful, sweet thing. That's my Mai. I declined. I know what you're thinking, but if you ever saw my main squeeze (Oz can tell ya) you'd understand. And that's the other fun part, my squeeze let's me look all I want. It's good for business, don't cha know.
If you're ever in town, drop a note and I'll introduce you to 2000.

Hi Juniper,
In many ways VN isn't as accessible as LOS if you want easy P4P. That said, if you are willing to put in a little effort, it can be very rewarding. I read a recent report by Bimmher and he hit the nail on the head-you either love this place or you hate it-there doesn't seem to be any 'tweeners.

P4P has never been a problem in Vietnam, I have visited 8 times over the last 10 years.
It a lot more discreet than Thailand ( and usually more expensive) but a bit of commen sense and a few words in Vietnamese to the right people and " no problem".
" Toi muon em dep lum " ( I want beautiful girl" not hard to remember.

Mel-another helpful phrase is "Toi muon di bia om" which means I want to go to a beer "hug" - A bar that specializes in girls that will hug anything your heart desires while you sip a cold (OK, in VN it's only cool) one.
