Finally...........BANDUNG..........someone's talking of my favorite city in South East Asia.........Thanks Happyface.
Yes, Indonesia is great, for the sole reason the vicous night life circuit is kept carefully hidden by the religious cover.
Be it Jakarta or be it bandung or any other place in Indonesia, experience has taught me everything is for sale proviided you have ample dough.
In terms of hookers, Indonesia is less.......quite less forth coming as the Prostitution capital of Asia, but the under currents are stronger, much stronger than Bangkok.
I am sure craigoz and griffin can fill you in quite well about Indonesia. We're missing one EXPERT from the Indonesia thread tho........and He's KOTEKA. Should be seen here soon enough.
The bottom line is Indonesia is more fun if you hang about with a fellow mate ......maybe one of the fellow posters or someone who lives there/has been there several times.
The way I see it, we're talking mostly of Jawa.....mainly Jakarta and Bandung. One of the bigger haunts in terms of "picking up" non pros is Jogja (Yogyakarta). Malioboro Mall/street is a hard place to miss for a genuine meat lover (pun intended). Jogja again is a(n) university city.

As a person who born and grow in Jakarta, I know exactly there's no relation between muslim religion country and nightlife. Just for your information, Jakarta compare to BKK almost close the same, only yes Jakarta not show their bar in vulgar way like in Soi Nana (cowboy). But they are more variation in s*x service in here. Like Massage service, ok is almost the same as LOS, but can you ever try what we call "Pajero Goyang" ? It is a s*x service that pleasure you in a car while the driver drive the car arround Jakarta. Or burger service that pleasure you with two woman or more in Sauna / Massage service, and much more.
But well as I know, freelancer in Jakarta is much more than in BKK (at least what I know). For my 2 yrs 6 mth live in Thai, freelancer in BKK cannot beat in quantity compare to JKT. But of course you will don't know about it because you have to socialize among Indonesian people and community. Because in this country woman to shy to show their lust. And other things you have to show the woman that you "love" her otherwise you will end up in jail because s*xual abusement case that judge to you by her.
And the most popular place for nightlife in Jakarta is area that called Mangga Besar and Mangga Dua, and also Jakarta Kota area. There are lot of massage and sauna service, from low class to high end. Well of course there are plenty also in South Jakarta like Blok M area, but not as much as that place.
