Mr. China Sailor..........funny stuff. The guy who makes millions with 'Crazy English' has a lot of that BS English.
You have to be careful what the girl says may not be what she means.
I often get things like, 'I miss you so much' which means 'I have not seen you for a while.'
....or ' Come to my home, I will cook something special for you' which means 'I want to practise my English while my mother, father,grandfather, grandmother and 6 neighbors watch you eat.'
Mr. ABC....probably the people with the same knowledge level as newbies who ask where in BKK can they get laid.

Saw the Crazy English book there too. My Friend said they were using it in her English class. A good line from there is "Damn it, you are a jerk".
I had to point out several pharses in the book that were unacceptable to the average English Speaker unless he was speaking Jive or was from So. Central LA...

Mr. China Sailor..........yeh funny, but in So. Central LA they would freak out and not utter a word. Even though you point out English errors, sometimes they do not believe you.
I mean, like you know, that Crazy English guy is rich and on TV. Go Count! (means..'Go Figure!' to us English speaking non-experts.)
Mr. Metaliclink...........I am sure the book has more than that. Newspapers tend to pull out one or two hot quotes, and then thats all people think the book or movie is about.

I was on asiafriendfinder.com for a while. In my profile, I checked all the boxes regarding relationships - from pen pal to marriage and everywhere in between.
I apparently fit in the correct category as I received daily responses. Most of the Chinese ladies looked great, although not as petite and adorable looking as TG's - IMHO.
I took Mandarin lessons and learned to read and write pinyin, which brings Zhongguozi - Chinese characters within reach.
I visited a possible candidate living in a southern Chinese city and was in her bed within 5 minutes upon arrival - definitely her move as I was exhausted from too many miles in the air and only wanted a nap.
Good thing I had some foresight and popped a big "V" as we landed so I was up for the occasion! - 
She was wild, but really ignorant on the technique of lovemaking. She was a very eager student and enjoyed a more guilao approach to screwing - get down! - 
Bottom line - most of the Chinese ladies I met or corresponded with were socially flawed or divorced - which is basically the same thing. They want to get married, can't find or don't want to find a Chinese husband, and many DO NOT want to go to the "Land of the Golden Mountain"!
I found them to be Dragons once you got to know them and the culture is as hard to understand as the language. They rule the family with an iron fist. So much for the demure Asian lady!
I revised my AFF profile some months back, un-checked the "marriage" box, and have not had a reply since.
It literally went from "Mucho toda la Dia" to "Nada"! They don't even want an ATM - or maybe they haven't learned that trick yet!
IMHO, for the most part, Chinese ladies come out second best against TG's!
I wish I had spent 1 1/2 years studying Thai instead of putonghua!!!!!

Good observation, I had to go through several before I found my gem.
One thing to note though, many that I did find were interested in going to the 'Land of the Golden Mountain', as long as they could return home for every Mid-Autnum and Lantern Festival.
Maybe my lady is so faithful because I can get her into Singapore, the advantages of the West with the feel of China.

Wow, does this mean you are naive enough to think that women who post their names on Asianfriendfinder are anywhere near normal for Mainland China?
Learning the languge doesn't really give you any advantage to understanding the culture if you are not able to discern what element of the culture your communicating with.
Certainly the chat forums in China are filled with f***able pussy, sex being the latest thing for young people to go nuts over ('You mean we do not need the parties permission?'). Try Adultfriendfinder for truly weird Chinese sexual food.
But this segment of society is small in deed. Most girls will not even consider a Western guy, for anything, except English lessons. Which does not mean that they are not sociable, and respectful.
To say that you have even touched Chinese society socially because you banged a few girls from friendfinder is, well, a little bit 'white' of you, no matter what your skin colour is.
By the way, I know a total lesbian Chinese woman who lists on Adultfriendfinder, and specifically lists that she does not want any men to reply. She asks to be respected for her sexual tastes.

And I wonder why you need to respond to Asianfriendfinder in the first place. Daily life in China is filled with young women more than willing to strike up a conversation, not like in Western countries where as likely as not your going to get the ice look.

A candidate for what? What is it you wanted? Your negative in your comments about what they want, which is quite open and up front. What were you representing to her?
So if your interest was not marriage, as you said when you 'checked' the marriage box, what was it. To f*** around with someone's marriage dreams, as if marriage dreams are unusual in a woman from any culture.
And you found them to be 'dragons' once you got to know them.
