Thank you Siritus for tooting your own horn as quickly and readily as you mastered Hangul script, saving me the task of writing a decoration for this achievement of yours.
The point was, that while learning Kanji or Hirigana or Katakana could take weeks or months, Hangul script can be learned much more quickly. This was no accident, King Sejong ordered the creation of a practical alphabet for expressing Korean words, because Chinese characters were not compatible with the sounds of the Korean language and as a result most people were illiterate.
Hangul script is probably the most organized and effective alphabet there is. While I'm rusty at it, it comes back to me in about 10 minutes and I'm reading words I don't understand.
Coco - I don't know Seoul that well, really, it would take years to know it as it's huge and most people there don't speak any English. But that's what makes it interesting. Korea is the least Western influenced country I've personally been too.

Oh yeah, Skip, you're welcome. My advice enjoy Korea first P4P second. You'll surely be disappointed if you try to get as much action and variety out of it as you do Thailand. But when you've gotten your local knocking shops worked out, you'll know where to go.
Let US know more about Seoul too. Best of luck.

Coming to Seoul for business for 3 short days at the end of November. Can any of you chaps give me some tips as where to go for fun? Are there any topless bars in Seoul? how about any massage parlors? Any tips will be greatly appreciated and put to good use.

In Korea, topless bars are banned.
Nowadays, police is focusing on closing down any illegal sex related businesses and this became an issue.
Anyway, you can go to a soapy named Finkle near Hakdong subway st. which is line no. 7.
The price is about 200,000KRW~220,000.
The system is like this.
you pay the money at the desk. then you will be guided into a room to change into gown. Depending on the number of customers you can get a massage first or the xxx service. Massage will take about 30~45minues and the service will take about an hour.
For drinks, you can go to JJ Mahoney in Hyatt hotel.
In JJ Mahoney, there are some FLs and I don' tknow the price.
A beer is about 15,000KRW.

There is one classy expensive place.... of which I forgot the name. Anyway, if the place still exists (it has been a few yeras since I was there last), it advertises in tourist magazines (like those you find for free at hotels). It is a bit in the style of Club Boss in Honk Kong or Exotica or The Pent in Bangkok. If you end up there, try to get the girl asap and get out eraly... or else the bill will keep increasing - drinks and girls´time very high. But girls looks were tops.

I have been to this place several times (it is actually the Disco in the Hyatt basement). It is a great place; but be forewarned; there are many underage girls dressed up to pick up guys "for fun" there. This friends, is both disgusting and dangerous. So be careful.
I also went to the “BBOSS type” place in Seoul. It was advertised and promoted by my hotel concierge. Almost no one spoke English, It was very expensive, and truthfully the girls were only average.
The problem here is that after BKK and PTYA we are really spoiled. Perhaps it is just good to take a vacation from the nightlife and regain our strength for Thailand.
