You really have to be careful or you can end up spending lots of money for nothing. I don't claim to be an expert but I am in Tokyo pretty much monthly and have been doing that for quite awhile. Places like Roppongi and Kubuki cho are really more for the Japanese. The touts will take you places but you are likely to end up with Chinese, Thai or very low quality Japanese and you are likely to pay enough for quickly to support a whole weekend of fun in Thailand. You will run into many scams and when you don't get what you think you paid for the tout has disappeared. And what would you do if you found him? He is very well protected.
I have had better success in Roppongi than in Kubuki cho but for me the best bet has been late evening drinks in hotel bars. The girl you meet is likely to be very expensive but will also be of very good quality and is already in the hotel. You won't find a lot of them like in high end hotels in China but a few and they will find you or at least give you a signal. Be prepared to spend 200-300 US for a brief visit.
