Ever been to Tanamur disco in Jakarta? Supposed to be a great place to pick up girls. Never been there, usually I dont go further that my hotel bar. Indonesia girls are among the best, together with Malay girls, IMHO.

Try 30 (Tigah Puluh) at the Le Meridien for a chance. Or the RETRO at The Crowne Plaza. Mixed crowd, Amateurs mostly. Pay no more than 150-200 K rupiah. All nighters.
For a more relaxed trip, try the STADIUM at Hayam Wuruk. Head on to the disco on the 5th/6th Floor. The mamasan will approach you with an offer of 750,000 Rp for 6 hours. Take the girl away.
Alternatively, u can bang the girl in one of their numerous rooms upstairs for 250,000 rp for an hour (Room + girl).

I don't think Tanamur is the place anymore. The girls play games with you getting you to buy many expensive drinks. Some will tell you they cannot leave until 5am and stuff.
JJ's next door used to be a great place for freelancers after the 2am time. They used to all flock there after the other clubs. I think some people are talking about another club (Retro?) after 2am now.
I love the atmoshpere at Lintas, but some say the girls are low class.

No more than 150-200k rupiah? Is it really that low, or do the girls just not say anything? I thought the girls at those places expected alot more, but maybe I'm wrong.

Holy Saint...........30 (Tigah-puluh) is a joint mostly frequented by non-pros. These girls are in just for the fun of it. Believe it or not, Come Saturday nite, some guys have been known to take girls from there as low as 50K. I have myself had one a the greatest chicks there for 80K. Said she wasn't a pro, wasn't a virgin either and that she needed the money to pay for her college fees...........Whatever. I liked her honesty and took her away. Paid her a 100K next morning, the 20 extra being "uang taksi" (taxi Money). She left leaving a peck on my cheek and her fone number.
Lintas, not been there. Prefer 30 & Stadium to other joints now.
RETRO is good too.......but you have to be darned good looking and very single to score there. Upscale crowd - mostly students who're not interested in One Nite Stands.
Tanamur..........I guess I had mentioned this in an earlier thread about a joint called PLANET in Bandung. Its on Jalan Sudirman. U cant miss it. Mostly to be found there are working girls. But you'd also come across some girls with the "BUY ME EXPENSIVE DRINK" Syndrome. Then she'll start with a sob story, tell you how forth she's looking to be a virgin till her wedding day, ask you for a paack of cigarettes, some money for taxi, some money for her ailing mother and then head on to another potential scapegoat.

On the other hand, the girls in PLANET who're just raring to go will go with you for as low as 100K - full nite, no qualms about it.

On the girl for 80k that you gave a 100k. I guess you negotiated before you left for the hotel from what it sounds like. I don't normally do that, but am interested if you just asked her and she brought the number up, or you brought up the number first.
For me, my understanding from reading reports on another site, the going rate for the working girls for the night was like 200-300k at places like Lintas, Top Gun and Oscars back in their hey day.
I am kind of interested in getting out of Jakarta to somewhere like Bandung. The only problem is the last time I came here and tried to buy a train ticket to Surabaya and Bandung I was intimidated by the whole process. Not too many people spoke english there and many windows for the particuliar destinations were closed. Many guys kept coming up to me and asking if they could drive me to various places.
I still am not sure how to hanle the transportation part to those other cities with the train system. I ended up flying to Surabaya which is alot more expensive of course.
Regarding Retro, from my understanding alot of the working girls are very aware of it and do go there. It seems that JJ's is very slow and sometimes closes now because of lack of business. The girls seem to go to Retro now for after 2-3 am to hang out. Many of the working girls and easily pass themselves off as students.
In regards to being good looking and very single for Retro. I am mid 30's and not butt ugly but not hot. I am asian, but look mixed and the girls seem to think I am indonesian and sometimes won't even talk to me. But this happens in other asian countries as the girls think I am local.

also my thumbs up for tingha pulu. certainly one of the best pick up joints in jakarta. scored two girls there about 5 weeks ago when i was in town last time!
lintas is usually lower quality with some nice ones in between, had a 18 year old real naughty girl in there. bet body and breasts i had for a longtime, for sure quality you will hardly find in thailand, good shower show and performance. still emails and sms's me!
about tanamur dead these days also as said before jj's on the decline as well!
prices i paid usually between 150-200K as stated above. it is really that cheap. business is don a lot for the girls as world economy and the bali incidents puts travel to a minimum. most of them are open for everything!

Tiga Pulah was very dead several nights last week. My impression is that it "ain't what it used to be". Strangely, I'm finding that BATS at Shangri La seems to have some of the nicest women lately -- but they are mostly if not 99% pros there.
After 2am, I find Retro on certain nights (especially Wed, ladies night) and JJ's to be the best bets. JJ's was very crowded when i was there on a Thursday last week or week before. In fact, surprisingly better than I've seen in the past.
Of course there is Stadium for those looking for an "anything goes" atomosphere, but I find that place a bit scarey after a couple of visits (note that you MUST go there once in your life on a weekend). Also hear that Hailai is a similar experience, just as big and with thousands of people..
I'm back there again in a month, so can post an update..

I hit Retro last night from about 1:30-3am. I really liked the music they played with the drum beat there. I guess alot of regular girls go there for just enjoyment. Many of the working girls that go, I guess come around 2am from other clubs.
It's nice to hear JJ's had a good crowd. I liked that place but heard from the ladies not many people go there now and that they go to Retro. But I didn't see too many workers at Retro yesterday. I would prefer JJ's.

thanks for the info on your pricing policy. I still feel it is low, but I guess it all depends. When you say you pay 150-200k do you mean for all girls or just girls at Lintas? I always thought the girls from other discos like Tiga, JJ's, CJ's and Retro expect more, but of course I think all my girls have been picked up at Lintas. I am really interested in your viewpoint here.
Also, I assume you don't talk money with them and just give them money when they leave?

The damsel I had in 30 ........well, I never had to negotiate anything with her. She said she was just doin it cos she needed the 80K for her college fees (who can contest an aruement like that) and she'd be glad if I paid her for her services.
