Bandung.........well, just head on to Gambir Station. They have specifically listed booths (counters) for each destination. Dont talk to the touts.......if u aren't in a rush.
Last I was there, I bought a 75K ticket froma tout for 90K. They act tough and say they wont haggle, but point of the matter is - they do. Especially when there's just 15 mins for the train to leave.
Get into bandung..........go out of the station andget a GR (spelt gay-err) Gemah Ripah Taxi........the only ones that run with a meter there. Your destination could be Hyatt or any other hotel for that matter. What I'd suggest is going north of town. Its a bit of a distance, yes - from the city centre. But the natural beauty of Bandung can be seen there. The hotels are all about 150-250 K for a deluxe/superior room and no AC. It gets so damned chilly at nites, that u do not need air-conditioning in the first place..........all the better reason to be "close" to your gal ! 
And if you're really a penny pincher, head on to the CATTELEYA guest house - ask the cab to go to CIPAKU INDAH Area. This guest house is 50K a nite. And they dont mind if you bring your gals there.

still like retro a lot, jj's is down after all but last resort for many after 03:00am. also had soem good picks at bats lately.
pricing i never talk about it with the girls, just give what i think is appropriate, never got a complaint but usually spend also a lot on drinks for the girls in particular, so consider it as a whole package!

JJ's is hit or miss. Sometimes crap, sometimes real good. Last week, I had a real good night there.
I prefer Retro for late night, but you have to pick the right nights there too! It's never "bad" but it's much more fun when it's packed..
BATS has the hot working girls from what I could see these days. But they are definitely more "pro" than in other places such as Tiga Puluh. A friend of mine took one from BATS last week and paid her 500,000 (she asked for 4,000,000!!!). Anyway, was told she stayed the whole night for the 500k...

I'm not sure how I reacted to the 4 million rupiah request. I guess she is one of those women who can't stop looking in the mirror. I had one the other night, and she never balked at the 300k. She ate lunch with me and her friend after I had already paid.
I think in places like BAT's I would prefer to negotiate with the girl first since it seems to be upscale. I think if you are in there they think you have money to throw away. I might be better off waiting for these ladies to venture into somewhere like Lintas on the slow nights.
I know Lintas' girls who go to CJ's, BAT's, and Tiga first and seem to head off to Lintas at about 12:30 - 1. Lintas seems to start later than I remember. It doesn't seem to be worth it to go before 12am now.

Whats latest on visas for Indo, i heard they changed the rules recently. will be going Jkt for a few days of wild times, Also any thoughts out there on 5 star hotels. I know this thing as been covered earlier in the thread, but i am sure things have changed a bit now re SARS thingy and maybe loss of tourists.

should have mentioned i am from Oz... i know there was something about a fee for tourist visas in media. but who and what it is i dont know, also believe stay has been reduced from 60 days to 30......
Is visa required before arriving or will be issued at airport??

No visa charge right now for me, but I am from the US. I heard about them thinking about charging for entry into Indonesia from someone also, but it doesn't exist as of now.

Mates, anyone heard of a booklet called "Sex 'n the City" in Indonesia ? They say its available for Rp. 45,000 and has a listing of all the major pimps offering "high" quality babes.....models, actresses, et al.

singlenstr8, let me see. You went to Tiga Puluh. The cover charge at tiga puluh is 60,000 rupiah. As you mentioned, a taxi to get there is usually 20,000. So the girl spent 80,000 already. Then it will cost her another 20,000 for a taxi home. And you expect us to believe that you gave her 100,000? Give me a break. Tell your stories somewhere else.
I have lived in Jakarta for a while now. I happen to know that girls don't ask for 80,000 for college money. If they are asking for college money, it will be a hell of a lot more than that.
There are girls that you can have for 100,000 in Jalan Jaksa. But not at Tiga Puluh. If a girl went with you and you gave her 100,000, she may not complain if she is fairly new and a sweet girl. Hell, the indonesian girls are normally sweet, shy things. Most of them will not even ask for any money. But I guarantee you that if you dont give them money, they will go home and cry about it. Do you think they are going home with you for fun? Any girl who will go home with you on the first night she meets you is looking to pay the bills. Even though the sweet ones usually would not complain about getting 100,000, No way in hell did you 'negotiate' for 80,000 rupiah in Tiga Puluh.
This board is meant to be informational for visitors to Indonesia, Please dont litter this forum with lies.
Give people an accurate account of what is fair for these girls. A fair price for a Tiga Puluh girl is 300-350K. (I even give them 400,000 if they are extremely good.) Take it from someone who has been in Jakarta for 5 years.
Again, you CAN pay less because the girls are sweet. But the girl's expenses for the night at Tigah puluh are 100,000. If you haven't noticed, they are dressed very nicely and have very nice makeup. You think they get that way by breaking even?
I think any guy who makes over 40,000 a year can afford to pay these girls more than $10 for the night. (by the way, I have seen guys get a bad beating due to underpaying the girls before. I know a particular case where a guy gave a girl 75,000 for the night and she demanded at least 250,000. He refused, and the next night she paid 4 guys to beat the hell out of him in the alley beside Lintas Melawai. Be careful, you might be next.)
