Any ideas on hotels in North Jakarta. I've stayed in the Horison and what used to be the Radin (?), but only with a LTGF, niether strike me as the sort of place you would take a number of different girls back to. Any recommendations near Stadium / Manggar Besar area / Medika ?

North Jak - Raddison in red square (and thats in not Moscow), I beleive. Normally Raddison's are in the mid to lower price scale, certainly should not be upper.
Near Medika - Try Hotel Ciputra (its a four start I beleive), so a litle more pricey but only 5 min from Medika and the other Indo disco/pump stations.

Cathay Pacific just called to tell me that my flight to Jakarta has been canceled.
They will switch me to the next day, but I can't extend the back end of my trip so I lose a day.
Oh well, I guess be happy that I have the $ and opportunity to go in the first place...

My plan so far is to do about 4 days at the Mercure Resko in Kota? And then about 4 days in Block M somewhere, not sure yet.
Looking forward to Tiara Ceria once I've dropped the bags off at the hotel!
I'll be there in late August...
