So Dubai's really that good, got any web site links? visa/immigration info, recommended hotels clubs etc?The irony is my connecting flight from London to BKK is in Dubai. Perhaps next trip I'll just stop in Dubai.

Dubai has P4P avaialable with a lot of verity. But its definitely not cheap. LT will cost you upward of UDS 125 if the girl is above 6. Hotels are also expensive and the general expenses.
As has been pointed out, unless you area resident punter here, things could be bit upmarket for visitors.
P4P itself, anywhere in the world, has may thrills associated with it which makes people want it more. In Dubai it has one more element thrill added in. That is the possibility of getting busted by the authorities any time even whilst on action (Dubai is a police state to certain extentd in this respect).
From this point it is unique but no way it can beat Good old BKK.

i have not been to indonesia. but I can say with 100 % surety that Indonesia is a very safe country.

Without having been there yourself, then all of your information is, by definition, second hand. So how can you say it's 100% safe? No place is 100% safe.
Why don't you ask the Australians their impression of how safe indonesia is?
Below are some news items from the past couple weeks; just goes to show, no place is 100% safe.
According to a report issued by the Joint UN Program on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), the seropositivity rate of HIV/AIDS among female sex workers has also jumped to between eight and 17 percent in some areas. The report classifies six of 31 provinces as badly affected by the disease due to this increasing prevalence, namely Jakarta, West Java, East Java, Bali, Riau, and Papua. Five out of six of these regions have large numbers of sex workers.
Bali: This week, the British government changed its advice that previously urged British citizens to avoid all nonessential travel to Indonesia. Despite minor changes, the new warning still advises against visiting traditional problem areas and states that Islamic extremists still have the capacity and desire to attack Westerners and Western interests in the country.

Let's see, you're declaring, with 100% certainity, a country you've never been to, as very safe and guess that I'm an idiot. Guess again. Maybe you're not aware that Indonesia does have a track record of major terrorist attacks against Westerners in the past few years.
You ask where I'm from? I'm from New York and can still remember seeing the twin towers fall, hence my desire to take precautions. Here it comes now, Yanks are ignorant compared to us (insert nationality here).
Okay now that you've had that thought, here's my question? What is your occupation. What are your credentials to judge the safety of countries you've never been to? Are you an authority on public safety? Now for my guess. I'm guessing you're not.
You state that I'm afraid of terrorists from Indonesia. Re-read my post and you can see I did not say that. Maybe you eat Indonesian terrorists for breakfast in your country, but I think terrorists from any country tend to be dangerous and it's a good idea to avoid hot beds of them.
Is it an idiot who takes the precaution of asking a board member who's actually been to Indonesia how he feels about the safety of the place? Or is it an idiot who judges someone asking a very relevant question? If my question offended you, I'd point out that it wasn't even addressed to you. It was an A - B conversation to scobie and you can C your way out of it, thank you very much.
I can believe that Indonesia is generally safe; terrorists can't be everywhere. But it's pretty reasonable to believe terrorists are somewhere in the country to include Jakarta. I've never been there either, but I would definetly wait on more practical advice before going. That's sort of the idea of this forum, just figured I'd lend you a clue.

I'm in Jakarta right now. I feel fairly safe most of the time. But I went to a place called Stadium last night where I did not feel so safe. Also people were telling me that recently they had about 50 guys with machetes come to Stadium and hack up some security guards. Supposedly it was some mafia thing. But that kind of thing is somewhat scary to me.

Thanks for the first hand info. That does sound scary. That's all I'm asking here. Are there better places for p4p than Thailand? When you factor in safety and abundance of ladies, Thailand sure seems hard to beat. For instance IMHO, I thought my trip to the PI paled in comparison to Thailand.
I do want to go to other places though, I'll be checking out Cambodia in September, so reports like yours help. BTW, what are some places in Jakarta that are fun but more low key, less likely to have machete parties? Thanks.

Well, the hotel I stay in JW Marriot Jarkarta, was blown up few months after I stay there.
Black cat, F20 is obvious a troll, Maybe JHJ resurfacing?
IMHO, overall, I will have to rank China as second to bkk, It has just so many choices and the price is still reasonable. IMHO, the girl in china is prettier but I love thai girl because of their altitude which beat all of them hands down.
