Please just drop the cap locks. What kind of services did you get?? I'd like to get a better impression of the girls but definetely not a done deal. Late twenties is a bit on the old side to begin with.
As of tensions in Sri lanka, hoped itīd get better after the elections but it doesnīt seem to have eased. Besides ALL the people I deal with were supporting the opposition (apparently much more free market oriented), so Iīm not expecting a particulary upbeat mood. Bought a ticket in biz as I hate the flights there and especially that dreadful Colombo airport ( just how many jacuzzi sesions in Long Beach I wasted on that one is alredy disturbing...). Hope their new skyward lounge is as good as I read and TGF will come as expected.

colombo has what we call spoiled food. the girls would be considered rejection if they were in bangkok, but hey when you are starving, even old food will do. believe me for what colombo has to offer the two contact # I left on the previous page will do. make sure to call the russian lady and ask for julia. the problem is I don't know if she is still in colombo, but if not tell her what you want and she will send to your room. rate is $100 so don't pay more. good luck and enjoy.

Why I really hate Sri lanka...
Landed in Colombop airport early morning... not bad actually despite some delay and a stop over in Frankfurt... much better biz cabin on UL than the outdated crap we get on TG on the Paris-BKK route...
Anyway the plane lands one hour late and still have to wait for the driver... whisks me swiftly to some muslim stronghold where we do business only with a one and a half minute stop downtown... nono... skip the details...I'm pissed off all day long and looking for a single female in this goddamned village but idiots even use guys as maids and I'm not so much into srilankan men and with 4 hours work day it's easy to deduct 20hours left of suffering. JesusAllahChrist why did I plan to stay there overnight ?!?
My worst week during the last two years definetely happened while alone in Sri Lanka and I'm hoping big time and generous wallet if necessary thai GF will fly over tomorrow as expected... Anyway mid afternoon I'm already about to lose it and my agent in SL offers to go for dinner together tonight... such a miracle!! We met a bunch of time in France, UK and SL, shared our booth on two international fairs, stayed at the same time in the same hotel, spent several days in his Colombo office but never ever shared a meal together...
That was gonna be fun.

Not usual I insist repeating to my business partners how much I hate their hometown but really couldn't resist. We have a boring dinner in a boring seaside KoTao like restaurant than they drop me in my hotel, nice place if you're planning to die soon... I'd planned to have a drink to a nicer resort a few meters away but almost nobody around and no booze after midnight... Get back to my room, after getting the prison like gate open, Bungalow is actually nice and I'm thinking to have a drink in front of TV, just relax and pop up enough Xanax to go through that overnight torture... Open the fridge... it's bloody EMPTY!!! Not even a bottle of water in the room... i'm calling a ghost like room service and am starting to seriously lose it.
Get out, kick a serious fuss in this haven for retired westerners and within half an hour over half a dozen staff are around including day and night managers and mates/agents come over and drive me to Colombo in emergency mode... never thought I'd ever apreciate Colombo so much!!!

We do the way faster than I thought it possible... booked a Royal Suite in Galleface Hotel which is awesome and drop my suitcase there and get straight to Blue Elephant... it's 2.45am... the place is closed !?! Maykaowdjay... world of hardship... driver brings me to H2O, apparently a new place and quite a nice club, never seen anything similar in Colombo, could be anywhere in the world, hip place with hip people, a south asian picture of globalisation... feel greatly relieved it managed to reach Colombo... I try to enjoy my work but so far today hated every minute of it...
Unfortunately the place closed around 3.30 and then along a random tuktuk did the rounds of the casinos, late night discos and the seedy brothels but I wasn't drunk enough for my zoophilic tendencies to surface and easily resisted the temptations... at least we got temptation!! I read the books watched the movies and firmly believe salvation and redemption are the most sensible things in our existence but before going for salvation we need vice. Lots of vice. Thanks tuktuk driver for helping me out!! damned muslim gem dealers are a blister on the face of enjoyable life...
It's 6.00 am and I'm missing bangkok real hard...

that's where me & you are different, although it seems we are in the same business. I always stay at the colombo hilton for my buying trips. it is most happening hotel in colombo, if that means anything. you have blue elephant at night, it is only 10 minutes from when you hang up with papasan, that the chicks are in your room, and heck even the chicks in gym look god in the morning. so next time ask your muslim gem dealer to book a room at the hilton. last question. are you coming to tucson for the gem show?

Stayed in the Hilton before, impressed only by the lobby. Getting Royal Suite in Galleface for 110$ a night (dealt directly with the hotel, saved 40bucks on that one, cool comission the travel agents are making...). Quite good although there's no much isolation with the next room and you'd hear someone snoring or coughing - or having sex, almost 100sqm living room, food is awesome and the restaurant by the ocean fantastic.
Would think of moving back to Hilton if single in Colombo but with TGF coming along -hopefully tonight- Galleface will do fine. Besides Blue Elephant was closed last night at 2.30 : ( do check out that H20 place... quite nice with a VIP corner on a balcony which is the first I see like this in Colombo. Yet not overly exclusive, a white face and 100roupies got me in... some sexy dressed ladies there as well, if you mix it with a bunch of large gin tonic you might almost forget SriLankan women fare among the very ugliest in the world...
Yes obviously same business but no Tucson yet, will show in Printor beginning of Feb than Barcelona end of feb, will prolly come over to Thailand in between. Drop me a pm if you're around, and good luck for Tucson if you're exhibiting there!
