I loved the place - my experience was good-
The Location is great- the rooms good-
The reviews China Sailor Refers to makes a good point best avoided if the others had bad times there-
If you just want Pussy close by - well this is your hotel
In fairness I should point out all internet connections in Lao can be slow - and its a backward country by even Thai standards - if you measure the place by western standards its never pretty-
I was there to f*** - I liked being able to hunt close in to my prey as the cops there are not so cool with p4p

Inter City Boutique (technically the name is Lao Inter City) is a fine hotel, you have to take the reviews on Agoda (or wherever) with a grain of salt...half of them are from stuck-up farangs who have never traveled in Asia before and expected 5-star European quality for $30 USD (I know, go figure...!)...
My only problem problem with Inter City is lack of electrical outlets in the rooms (to plug in your laptop/phone you have to unplug either the TV or the fridge). Otherwise I have no complaints, and I stay there at least twice a year.

Tourist arrivals in Laos up 14 per cent in 2012

Vientiane - More than 3 million tourists visited Laos last year, up 14 per cent from the year before, media reports said Friday.
Visitors from neighbouring China led the influx with 190,000 arrivals in 2012, up 26 per cent from 2011, the Vientiane Times reported.
The number of South Korean tourists jumped 46 per cent to 50,000, the state-run daily said.
Overall, the Asia-Pacific region accounted for 2.8 million of the foreign tourists last year, a jump of 17 per cent.
Laos, one of the world’s last communist countries, has focused on developing hydropower and tourism as its two main engines of economic growth

Bars north 100 meters ( packed with freelancers )

Well we went to Bor Pen Nyang bar and immediately found girls that were good fun and very keen to return to the hotel.
