There is a lesson for newbies in the meanderings below. As the story does wander, here is the synopsis:
ATTITUDE, ATTITUDE, ATTITUDE
Part 1: Jinxed myself.
After telling the boys this afternoon that "I NEVER go out Thursday night; too much traffic, too crowded; I just have a regular take a taxi over." Call her up tonight to see what time she'll be getting here (and if she's bringing dinner) ; get the dreaded "have to take friend to airport tonight". (If you need a translation of this, just look back a couple pages on this thread).
What's all the more galling is that, this morning, I passed on a morning wake-up (actually, it was more a nooner as we didn't wake up until noon) with Wed's call in. We woke up; while she was checking in on her mobile, I got up and grabbed a shower, figuring the "I go home now" was quickly coming, given the hour. On returning, she was still in bed. Got a nice massage; still, no mention about returning home. When I asked, she told me "Waiting to finish morning's work". (That bumped her rating up by several points). I passed, with tonight's regular in mind.
Oh well. On the bright side, good chance for a recce.
Part 2: York
Hooked up with JSF, Chongster, and Crazee at York. Arrived just in time for Happy Hour's last call (9:45). Was amazed: for a Thursday night, York was not crowded at all. Not all that many ladies around. Approached by a chinese pair, one cute in denim jacket (for short, Denim). Was interested, but not at that hour. They moved on. Several other familiar faces came over to say hi. Yali, a regular, offered to set me up with her "new" friend; I declined. Saw Ginny; know by experience, nice rack, above average service. She was trying to make time with a Japanese, saw me, smiled, waved me over. As I was not THAT interested THEN, just waved back. Striking out with him, she moved on to another Japanese table.
I could only keep thinking, THIS is why I don't go out Thursdays. Limited selection, quality down. Another attractive girl, not a stunner, but noticable in a dress and short brown hair, wearing a mobile around her neck (for short, Mobile). Even by 11:30, York not that crowded. Lot more Africans now in residence. The Chinese garrison by the front door noticably reduced in numbers; in fact, not enough mass to hold their position against the onslaught of other nations.
Made a circuit to try and spot any hidden gems. Saw Yali again; she was talking to Mobile. Stopped to again talk with her, with a plan to move the conversation to Mobile. Yali said it was her (Yali's) "Lady's holiday" tonight. When I didn't understand, she enlightened me, "You know, every month...". That's why she's a regular; also enjoy her sense of humor. However, no introduction nor acknowledgement from Mobile. I moved on.
Past midnight, York was filling up, but that was not necessarily a good thing. LOT more guys than girls arriving. Crazee trying to decide whether to abandon ship and head for another port, Chongster going to stick around for awhile. Making another loop, I made eye contact with Denim again. She and her sidekick came over, trying for the pairing. Said I was only interested in taking one girl. Specified the menu to Denim (bbbj/cim, massage, FS, sleep, morning wakeup). Asked for a price; she replied "600". Now, I don't even pay THAT at CYCLONE. I just replied (with a smile), "No thanks", and went to track down Chongster and Crazee.
Denim came up; told her I was just looking for my friends. She said they were back towards the pool tables. We both joined them there. She was very attentive, always maintaining physical contact (works for me, I like the attention; works for her, I'm occupied). Denim then asked for 500. Now a case of DEJA VU from Imperial last month:
500 high, but... do-able, and it was Thursday night, M/F ratio changing in favor of the provider. BUT, for 500, wanted to make sure of the menu. Got across the bbbj (after a bit of trying; her asking "you like that?", me thinking, "well, what do you think? otherwise, why would I be asking?"). Anyway, just like last month, really stumbling on the CIM concept. FINALLY, JUST LIKE LAST MONTH, I KNEW she understood when she said, "You want THAT?", as she pulled her head away with a grimace on her face. OK, message CLEAR!! I moved in one direction; she disappeared in the other.
Back with the 2 other Amigo's. I was just about ready to cut my losses for the evening. Second galling thought: I should have pulled the "limited english, nicely dressed" girl from TGIT that afternoon. Several girls at TGIT that afternoon would have easily matched any available at York tonight. York Thursday night: quality and quantity NOT there. Had not seen Denim; saw Mobile but lost her in the, by then (12:30) packed crowd. This was going to be one of the FEW times I wasn't going to find anybody to pull (especially as I saw Ginny disappear out the door with client in tow).
One last circuit; spotted Denim; she was still around. Then, at the same table, Mobile and another cute girl I THOUGHT I had seen my last visit to York, month ago, with Cat's Away. Then, occupied with Yali, but now...
Tried to make eye contact with Mobile; she just looked THROUGH me. For whatever reason: too old, body too fat, wallet too thin, customer of Yali, had heard about my menu wants..., whatever, there was NOTHING there, no eye contact, no smile; for her, I did not exist.
Cutie did smile. But quiet, and no physical marketing. In talking with her, found out her english limited. She basically was just sitting there, looking cute. Discussed menu with her. No problems there; when asked about bbbj, it was a resounding NO, so CIM a moot point.
So, 3 possible's - Denim: attractive, not MY menu, but, she had been VERY attentive while marketing, holding hands, putting her arm around me, massaging my back and shoulders. Good indications of a positive attitude.
- Mobile: OK, could have tried to pursue, but, as I posted above, with THAT attitude towards me...
- Cutie. More limited menu than Denim, though not by much (what is the point of a bbbj without CIM?) No physical marketing, quiet.
Well, the advantage Cutie had: she was there, THEN. Asked about price; she gave me the "you stay dubai long time; you know price, you tell me". I offered a respectable 400; she responded "Not 500?". I said "No thank you", and moved 1 step away. The step was, I'll admit, a physical rebuke, but also served a purpose for both of us. Next to her, we were each occupied. Moving away, we were BOTH available. Within 5 minutes, another punter stepped in to speak with her. Don't know what HE offered, but he quickly moved away.
Felt a tap on my arm, from Cutie; knew she was going to accept the offer. Weighed my options. Door #1: Denim: good attitude, higher price. Door #2: Mobile. Attitude. Door #3: Cutie. Possible good attitude.
It's a fine line: is her silence due to dis-interest, or to lack of language skills? Decided to go with Cutie; she slightly nicer looking than Denim; I'd take the risk on attitude.
Lesson: Physical attraction there, with all 3. However, final call was based on attitude (and proximity).
Happy to say, very nice time. cbj was a cbj; what can I say. But good massage, strong; she had worked as a masseuse in China. Very active PARTNER; always nice when your ministrations strike moisture.
Once again, woke up past 12. Again, no mention of going home upon waking; a FS morning's wakeup on both our menus, without prodding (well, verbal anyway).

Hi mate good to see you come out of hibernation.
All I can say is you guys must know some better negotiating tactics then I. 100 dhs for full night for two of them. Man!!!!
I must hook up with you and learn a few tricks.  The last time I pulled a chinese from york sometime back it cost me 200 dhs for an hour and a bit. Two rounds, nice massage and very good attitude.
And to top it all a CIS offering you guys full night for a 100 dhs. Gold teeth notwithstanding that is a remarkable coup if your friend had accepted.. The lowest I have been offered by a CIS is 300 dhs though there was one who offered to go with me for free because I introduced her to some friends and she thought she had to do me a favour to reciprocate. Needless to say I did not take up the offer because she did not have a room and I did not want to go to any hotels.
So when are you going to cash in that rain check mate??

Hi guys!
Thanks for the warm welcome 11bravo n JSF10. Well........not outta hibernation, but then again I did start this thread, so its "kinda OK" to post once in a bit!
Coming back to TGIT.............the CHinese gals were all about "SHIN"/Heart.........guess they connected with the Non Chinese - Chinese guy on an emotional level. When emotions comes in, money goes out the window!
As for the CIS babe........well........let's just say I'm a sucker for Asia and wouldnt have considered her anyways. Moreover, she didnt like me, she liked my friend, who later confessed "losing his Eiffel" when he saw all that gold!
On a closing note...........TGIT was full on Tuesday nite, but the male crowd seemed to be floating.........guys coming in, guys leaving...........not many takers. The fairer sex seemed to be quite in the same number.........MAYBE 'cos Wednesday was a working day........just my 2 fils worth!
JSF10........guess age must be catching up on me. We had pretty good rains in Dubai off late......I could have encashed that check. I'll buzz u one of these days then.........

Well I did visit the massage place advertised in the Al Ain centre (computer plaza) and as I and some of you expected it was a straight place, the place is a very nice clinic staffed by pleasant and friendly (chinese) staff the massage by a young lady called Ginny was very good and very professional.... cost was Dhs 100 for a 1 hour massage, no "extras" were offered and I did,nt suggest any...
so for those of you looking for extras this is not the place but if your looking forn a bloody good massage which at times is nice then this is the place......

Too true. The "STAN's" and a good number of Russians have attitude problems a mile high. I think I've said this before but in a general, overall sense the Chinese girls are usually much more professional - of course, there are always exceptions (although I have yet to see Chinese girls throw beer glasses at each other in a certain Bur Dubai bar!)

Well, IF beer glasses were close at hand, that might have been broken last Thursday at TGIT. 2 chinese did get into it before they were separated by fellow chinese (before management could get there). As there were no witnesses, the manager's attempt to find out who started it failed, and both girls were allowed to stay. But that's the FIRST time I've seen anything like that; I agree, the chinese are professional and business oriented (is there a pun in there) ; allow very few things to get in the way of making money.

Another thought about the obvious url of the other forum: from the webmaster's point of view, that might not be a bad thing: easily keeps the kids away with the common filters available, so much less chance for complaints to the ISP. Just a thought, but it is a shame.
