Chinese Basket trick?
I first heard of this from Olongapo, PI

Hi Guys,
Hope someone can help me finding a right GF hotel. I called the following hotels:
Holiday Inn Deira: 658 AED per night.
Intercontinental: 1,275 AED per night
Sheraton Deira: 600 AED per night
Shangri-la: 850 AED per night
Any suggestion which hotel is GF and better than others?
I am not sure why rates are high. Is there is any convention next month in Dubai or hotels have increased the rates just for fun...

my business is taking me to Dubai or rather I am about to spend alot more time in Dubai, much to my liking. Having enjoyed the Bangkok scene for a few years, the posting on Dubai certainly helped me alot. The first time is always an interesting one.
Having read all the posting on this site, plus the WSG forum (when it was working well) I was confidence of having a good time.
Arrived in Dubai and found that my meeting was at the Palm Hotel - next to Hard Rock and way way out of the main playing area. Sounds like your BKK experience held you in good stead.
What could have been at best, an uncomfortable situation was turned around, by both of you.
You by expressing your unhappiness, and her, doing something about it.

I stayed at Intercontinental hotel few years ago, they do have two bars on first the floor, both were packed with CIS.
They usually have a guard standing by the elevators after dusk. My first night at hotel, I was walking to elevators on first floor, I saw gaurd questioning a lady why she was going upstairs asked her to show the room keycard.
The lady was a hotel guest and got very upset at the gaurd. In elevator she mentioned to me that she lives in Europe and visits Dubai each year due to her business.
She complained that she was tired/hated of being asked questions...
I did not try to bring anyone to room just to avoid the walk of shame...
I think the good option will be to get the girl's phone number and ask her to visit your room during the day or early evening as hotels don't ask for any id's...

If you are with a girl should be no problem. What they are trying to control are the single girls knocking on the bedroom doors. Most girls will just tell the guard they are going to the upstairs bar "Up on the Tenth" and that will be that.
Does highlight though what your girl will be in for if your order an in-call.
